a few weeks have passed, and fall break coming in quickly as exams also pass by. yn and Alex studying with their friend group by the library. yn couldn't stop thinking of the exams coming up, wanting nothing more than to please her parents.
" yn?"
Alex called for her, but she wasn't paying attention. Yn has zoned out.
" she's daydreaming about that boy. what was his name Alex?" their friend, vincent asked.
Alex laughed, " chanyeol. He's invited her over tonight to meet his friend group."
Yn looked up at the mention of Chanyeol. They laughed at her as she blushed, hiding her face with the book in front of her.
"I think we can call it here then. we can meet again on Monday, give us a nice weekend break." One of the girls said, starting to pack up her things.
Everyone agreed, teasing yn as they left the table. Alex stayed with yn, walking out of the library with her. Yn's smile widen as she saw Chanyeol waiting for her with a bouquet. Alex squeal and shook her best friend as yn blushed and started to tell her to be quiet.
"Stop it, Alex," she whined, walking towards Chanyeol.
Chanyeol laughed and waved towards Alex, as she waved back. Alex approached Chanyeol with yn, nudging her as she gave him a wink.
" I'm Alex, nice to meet you Chanyeol," Alex spoke, smiling up at the male.
Chanyeol said hello, giving a kiss to yn on her head. " you're the famous Alex hm."
She nodded her head, " yep! you better take good care of her! I know her every move."
Chanyeol held his up and yn slapped Alex's shoulder, " stop it, Alex! you're embarrassing me"
Alex laughed, pinching yn cheeks as she said in a baby voice. " aww is my baby embarrassed"
Yn shoved her away, rubbing her cheeks before sticking her tongue out. Chanyeol laughed, opening the door for yn to step inside the car. Yn waved goodbye to her friend, her heart fluttering as the door was shut.

At the karaoke place, yn felt nervous about meeting his friends. They aren't officially dating, but it's also known that they like each other. Yn felt like it was going too fast to be in a relationship and Chanyeol understood. He wanted to know her to move as well, wanting to go slowly as well. Hence the meeting of his friends.
" They should be here soon, let's go inside and get a booth," Chanyeol spoke, opening the door for her.
Yn nodded, heading inside and going to the front desk. Chanyeol followed behind her, telling the staff how many will be coming and paying upfront.
" We should be in booth 12, I can wait for them here in the lobby if you want to go to the booth already?"
"I think I should wait with you yeolie." yn said, smiling up at him.
Chanyeol blushed and nodded his head. The door rang and entered his friends. Baekhyun was the last one to arrive as everyone else was in the booth. Baekhyun looked down at his phone to see which booth they are at.
" booth 12"
Baekhyun let the staff know before heading to the booth. Opening the door, he was flooded with hugs and cheers from his friends. Smiling, he chatted with them, not noticing that his string was tugged on as yn moved her hands around.
" alright alright! everyone, this is yn. yn this is the friend group." chanyeol spoke, naming out who is who as yn waved and said her hellos.
When it came to baekhyun, he waved shyly. " it's nice to meet you yn"
Yn froze, seeing his string when he waved. She was quick to put her hand behind her back, waving with her other hand. She didn't expect to see her soulmate here tonight, her heart dropped at the realization.
" who's up first!"
Yn excused herself from the booth, heading to the bathroom as tears fell down her face. She broke down, her chest tightening from the panic. She was the one to be in love with someone else. she's the one who is breaking her soulmate's heart. she felt guilty because she doesn't want to leave Chanyeol. No, she wants to be with him.
