You try to sit back up but suddenly your head ached.
"Nonono...here, let me help you.." Jay said and hold your hand and places a pillow against the wall for you to lean on
He sits beside you on the bed as you wonder why he was super caring all of a sudden..
"Drink this.." he gives you a glass of water and a pill
"What if it's poison?"
"I wouldn't doubt on the nurse's prescriptions.." he said and you drank it
"Why are you being nice to me? Is this some kind of charity event?"
"No, it was my fault that you got hit in the head. So, I took your heavy ass here.." he said
"But Jake was the one who hit me.."
"I was supposed to block you..I would never let someone get hurt for me." he smirks
"You're so assuming! You'd think I'd do that for you?"
"It's possible."
"You've been my rival since third grade, how is that possible.."
"People change.." he smiled
"That thing!" You point at him
"What thing?" He asked
"That thing you just did!!!"
"What did I do??"
"The thing you just did with your face!? What is that??"
"You mean smiling?" He said
"Yes! I've never seen you smile since like we were kids.."
"Oh yeah..my parents tell me to refrain giving out big reactions to everything, like laughing, pouting, or smiling.. it's to save energy they say.."
"That's freaking ridiculous.." you laugh
"I know..but I don't know how but I keep on having these reactions on my face whenever I'm with you.. I'm usually not like this to everyone.." he said
You look at Jay and smiled..
"Well, you should keep it that way.."
"Keep what?"
"Keep on smiling?"
"Why?" He was confused
"It looks better on you.." you blurt out
You realized what said and looked away.
Jay chuckled and moved closer to you.
"Does that mean you're attracted to me when I smile?"
"No! I never said that!" You said trying not to look at him as you felt his body move an inch closer to you
"I could smile for you as much as you'd like if that's the way to get you to like me.." he said
"Why would I like you? You're my academic rival.." you said
"That doesn't you couldn't fall inlove with them.." he said
Suddenly you realized and grinned. You sit up straight a little dizzy but still managed to conquer the pain.
You look at Jay with a mischievous smile.
"Does that mean you're inlove with me?" You smiled
"Wait, I'm supposed to-"
"What? To make me feel flustered? It was easy to read the signs, Jay. I could easily tell from your choice of words. Sad to say, I'm not an easy target, y'know? So, are you inlove with me, Mr. Park?" You lean closer to him
He lets out a soft chuckle and suddenly leans in closer so that your noses were inches apart from eachother.
"What happens if I am?" He smiled
The curtain opens revealing Jake as he was shocked to see the scene of you and Jay just inches away from kissing.
"What the f-"
