The brightest light of my life.

with jacks own dagger I teared his shirt

tears swelled in my eyes seeing the severity of his wound

My hands went straight to his chest

One,

Two,

Press

Three,

Press

Five,

Press

again and again

and ... nothing

Tears rolled down my face like a waterfall looking at Jack how his body laid still. At that moment I would do anything in my lifetime to see him smile one more time to hear him call me 'his love' the way he smiled with that smirk he always had on his handsome face.

Resting my head on his chest I close my eyes feeling every emotion in my body at that moment. agony pain sadness anger

"Jack please no no come back to us pleaseee!"

I let myself scream with everything in me hearing how my voice echoed and shook the cave

I laid there for what felt like forever refusing to get up and look at him in such a way

Then and there I opened my eyes slightly and noticed how the cave behind me illuminated brightly

Confused I looked behind me where the lights only got brighter. To my shock, something that I never thought that I'd see in my life time.

hundreds of mermaids behind me watched from above the water looking at me beside Jack

Right there I felt so little, yet so much that I didn't know how to react. But I didn't have to react. two older looking mermaids started making their way towards me. I noticed how they had similar necklaces to the one that I had around my own neck. The closer they got to me,  my necklace began to light up itself. I bit my lip not knowing what was going to happen. I didn't feel threatened, I didn't feel scared if anything in such a confusing way I felt... Comforted

When I thought they were headed up directly to me they surprised me as they went to the other side of jack.

Slowly I watched as they both put their webbed hands out above jacks body

Their eyes went from looking at Jack's body to locking eyes with me

"put your hand out"

one of them spoke calmly

tears still streaming down my face I too calmly put my webbed hand out hovering the body of the love of my life

now the other woman slowly moved her hand in a wave motion towards my face and there I felt and saw my tears slowly trail it's way to jacks wound. I bit my lip in anticipation not knowing where this was going. right then and there I felt a spark of hope in me. Our necklaces started to flash in a steady rhythm. Looking around I noticing how the tail of every mermaid around us began to glow.

"You're pregnant?"

One of the woman across from me asked

I nodded at her question

she hummed to my response

after a minute of the mermaids tails glowing they stopped. And now only the necklace of us three surrounding jack continued to beat in a steady rhythm

now the other woman looked directly at my eyes.

"Place your hand on his heart"

Feeling like I couldn't breathe I did what she said. Right then and there I felt what I thought I would never feel again

I felt his heartbeat at a steady pace under my palm

My hands immediately went to the side of his face grabbing him gently

Tears streamed down my face at the sudden beats of his heart again

"Jack wake up"

"Please you have to wake up"

I screwed my eyes shut

what I thought would never happen again happened. His cold ringed hands Wiped the tears from my cheeks

"Hello love"
