He's pulled out of time and thrown into modern day, and all his friends are dead, and the girl he loves is old and dying and has dementia and his best friend is trying to kill him and is a weapon of Hydra, and the morals he was raised on back in 1940, like patriotism and honor and courage are no longer a thing. He doesn't really belong in the modern world."
