Today. Today is the day that you'll face your school building for what you hoped would be the last time. You didn't exactly hate school, you actually enjoyed learning new things, but the system was kinda... meh, in your opinion.
Anyway, you went to school, found a seat kind of in the middle, not too far or too close to the front. When most seats were finally taken, the principal stood up and went to stand in front of the microphone. He started to list all of the achievements the school had this year, like the prizes they won from the soccer games between schools and the excellent performance the theatre team gave a couple of weeks ago, as well as saying the names of students with extremely good marks and congratulating them.
When he was done wishing all students of the last class to go far with their lives, and other kind things, he dismissed everyone early, like it always happened at the last day of school. At that moment you stood up and turned around to leave, until you spotted two girls of your friend group. You started fast-walking towards them and they waved at you right when they saw you.
"Hey Seri!" said one of them, Yuna.
"Hey girls!" you said and went in for a group hug that they gladly accepted and reciprocated.
"Heyyy" said Jiyu while still hugging with both of you, until she pushed you both away harshly.
"Seri, you gotta see these new pics Tae posted, the man's GORGEOUS" she said pretty loudly and enthusiastically, but that's how it always was. Yes, you are ARMY, like Yuna and Jiyu are.
Your bias has been j-hope since almost the start of your ARMY journey. His rapping, his dancing, but mostly his bubbly personality that happened to remind you of your own was what made you pick him.
"Oh yeah, he looks really good in those" said Yuna. Among you three she was the most reserved one, while Jiyu was the one that had a lot of random mood swings, sometimes being really enthusiastic for no reason the first moment, and turning totally serious the next.
"Okay okay show me show me" you said, while focusing 100% on the screen in front of you. "He really looks so good" you said, "but he always looks good, is it even a surprise, for real?" you continued, not really expecting an answer.
Then Yuna spoke, "Well, girls I have to go now, I got a job interview in the evening and I want to go practice a little, I'm very nervous... It's my first time ever at a job interview" she said while looking at the floor and it was clear how anxious she was about it.
"Aw come on! You totally got this!" you said, trying to make her feel less worried, "You're respectful, responsible, smart and kind. Try to relax. Even if not there, I'm sure you'll find something real soon" you continued, with Jiyu adding a short "True".
"Thank you girls... I'll go now" Yuna said, smiling softly.
"Text us when you get back from the interview! Let us know how it went!" you shouted at your friend who was already walking away.
You were about to zone out, until Jiyu spoke, "So what you doing today, hm?"
"Um, I don't really have any plans... It'd be good to start looking for a job too, I guess".
Though you lived with your parents and your two sisters, you still wanted to become independent, now that you were close to becoming an adult.
"I see..." said Jiyu, "Same, to be honest. Wanna look for jobs together? I can come over, or you can come, whatever you want"
You thought it'd be more fun to do it with company so you agreed, "alright let's do it, you sure you can come?"
"Yeah, don't worry. I'll be there around 6... actually, make it 6:30, I got some shopping to do first"
"Alright then, see you later!"
"See ya!"

Not much happened here but it's only because this was an introduction chapter. What you're looking for will appear in one or two chapters.
As you probably already know at this point, this is not an "x reader" book. I wanted to give the main character specific characteristics when it comes to both her appearance AND personality traits, so that's why I decided to give her a name.
Please keep in mind that, except for a couple one shots, this is the first book I've ever written, and that I will hopefully get better as time passes. So please be patient with me (((:
Sorry for the long A/N, they won't be so long from now on, but since it was the first one I wanted to make some things clear, you know.
