Info- You're in your 6th year at Hogwarts, you and Draco have been dating for about a year now. Draco has been hiding something from you for the past few weeks, and you know something's up. He's been acting suspicious lately... You know about his father and his connection to the Dark Lord, but what about Draco's connection?

You were eating lunch in the great hall with your best friend Blaise when you noticed that Draco hasn't come in yet. In a normal year, he would always be on time, however, this year he's been absent from lunch quite bit.

"Y/n." Blaise started
You were lost in your own thoughts.
"Y/N!" Blaise raised his voice a bit too loud this time, it made you jump. "Oh my Merlin what is it Zabini?!"

"Sheesh I was just asking if you were ok" Blaise rolls his eyes.
"Oh yeah sorry Blaise, I was just thinking"
"About Draco?" He questions.
You nod your head.

"Go on"
"What?" You ask confused.
"Go find Draco, I know you want to. It won't hurt my feelings"
You sigh "Thanks Blaise, I'll see you in d.a.d.a!"

You quickly hop up and start to leave the room.
"You owe me homework answers!" Blaise yells as you run out.
"Can't hear you!"

After searching empty corridors for a solid 20 minutes, you hear faint sniffling coming from the old bathroom.

You slowly open the door, wanting to find out who's crying and help them.

Then you see him. It breaks your heart.

Draco is curled up in the corner of the bathroom crying into his sleeves. He lifts his head up when he hears the door and you see that his face is red and his eyes are so puffy they look swollen.

"Y- y/n?"
"Oh Draco!"
You run to him and wipe some of the tears away, but they just keep flowing.
"Draco love it's ok, I'm here"
He tries to say something but he can't stop the waterfalls coming from his eyes.

After a few minutes and reassuring "shh"'s or "it's ok", he finally stops for a moment and catches his breath.

He manages a "Thank you."
"Of course darling, now please tell me what's upset you so much"
You hold his freezing hand in yours and run your other one through his hair comfortingly.

"I can't."
He says stiffly
"What do you mean?"
"I-"
He takes a deep breath
"It's for your safety."
"Draco that's rubbish, you use that excuse for everything."
He stays silent

"I understand if you can't tell me. But just know that I'll be here for you no matter what" You say.
"Promise?"
"Promise." You reassure him
"You promise you'll still want to be with me even if it's a really dangerous secret that I've been keeping from you?"
"I promise Draco."

He takes yet another deep breath.
Then he lifts up his sleeve.

He stares at you with a worrying expression, but you have a blank face. He can't read your emotions.

"I- I had no choice" he says softly, his voice cracking.

You caress his arm, and gently kiss the mark.
He looks at you shocked
"I know you Draco. Even if you are a death eater, you're a good person inside. You smile.

Draco is now beaming
"You mean, you don't hate me? You're not gonna rat me out to the headmaster?"
"Draco how on Merlin's name could I ever hate you?!
And of course I'm not gonna snitch on you!"
You kiss him gently on the nose.

Draco smiles wider than he ever has.
"I love you y/n l/n"
Now you're beaming.
"I love you too Draco Malfoy"
