Turning your attention back to the other pumpkins, you sighed.

Ilia seemed to see your distress, as she rolled her eyes and chuckled.

"Come on Y/n, these pumpkins arent gonna carry themselves."

You nodded your head, as you suffered internally, before picking up a pumpkin and carrying it to the door.

Ilia had been about to open the door for you, but you had already used your foot to open it, as you casually walked in, like it was normal, while Ilia stared in absolute shock.

Once she snapped out of it, she picked up a pumpkin, and joined you.

Sera took notice of the both of you, and gently told you where to put them.

You placed the first pumpkin down, before going back outside to grab the next, Ilia doing the same.

As you went to pick up another one, you heard that beautiful voice, that always seemed to make you happy.

Quickly turning your head in the direction of his voice, you were about to speak, but realised that Link had been talking to Katherine on the other side of the Village.

You felt your throat close, as a sudden wave of feelings rushed through you, it felt painful, depressing, and absolutely heart crushing.

Sudden thoughts began to occur, but you quickly pushed them down, before going back to what you were doing.

"Feeling sorry for yourself isnt gonna do you any good. And thinking about those horrible things, isnt gonna help you, it's just gonna fuck up your mood."

Placing the pumpkin down, as you went to grab another, while shaking your head slightly.

"You just gotta think positive about this, once it's the right time, you can reveal what she is really like, and save Link from that toxic relationship."

Smiling to yourself a bit, as you pushed your thoughts and feelings down, and continued with this.

After you and Ilia had finished, Sera had given the both of you some rupees as a reward for the hard work you both did for her.

You tried to decline politely, but she wouldnt take it, and in the end, you ended up with the rupees, and had headed out to Link's and your little home.

Once inside, you collapsed on the ground, in your little makeshift bed, and just stared at the ceiling, contemplating the days events.

Suddenly, you heard some one else come up the ladder, you instantly knew who it was.

"Hey Link, how'd the rest of your day go?"

You had propped yourself up, so you were now sitting cross legged and leaning on your arms for support.

Link had smiled in your direction, before making his way over to his little makeshift bed.

"It was good, Katherine and I had a great time, we talked about a lot of stuff, it was nice."

He had plopped himself on his makeshift bed, sitting cross legged as well.

You had to stop yourself from visibly cringing at Link mentioning Katherine, to you it felt like getting stabbed every time he mentioned her.

But you sucked it up, and put a pretend smile on.

"Oh, really? Well I'm glad you had fun."

You smiled at him, before turning your attention else where.

"These clothes are uncomfortable, I think I'll change, it's getting pretty late anyways."

Link had just nodded, as he smiled back at you, before speaking again.

"How was your day? I mean the rest of the day, I heard from Ilia that you had been running an errand for Sera?"

You paused for a second, as you had been in the process of removing your chest binder.

"Oh ya, I got bored and offered to harvest the pumpkins for her, Colin and Ilia offered to help me."

You stated as a matter of fact, as you completely removed your chest binder.

Noticing Link looking away, from the corner of your eye, you smiled slightly, as you placed the chest binder beside you, and began to get yourself all cozy in your makeshift bed.

"Anyways, It's getting a little late, I'm actually pretty exhausted from today. You dont mind if i go to bed early today, do you?"

Link smiled at you sweetly, before shaking his head.

"No, I dont mind at all, I'd be exhausted as well if I had to harvest all of those pumpkins, than carry them to the shop."

You just nodded your head, before yawning and laying yourself down, while getting comfortable.

"Alright than, night Link."

He smiled at you sweetly, as he went and blew out the lantern.

"Night Y/n."

And with that, sleep seemed to consume you rather quickly that night.

Hey everyone, sorry for no upload last Sunday, and thank you to everyone for the support on this story, once again, I truly appreciate it.

Something I've realised while writing this story, is that it is turning into a slow burn fic, lmao.

I swear, it was unintentional, it just sorta happened, and I think I'm gonna keep it that way, I kinda like it, that and I dont really know where this story is going exactly.
