Kaito Gekkō: Konaha's Swordsman

New Friends Team 12

Kaito mingled with his new team and Naruto's team 7. The boy learned that Yakumo was from a extremely powerful clan of Genjutsu users. Then Tenzin was the older of two grandsons of the Hokage. Both were very different from each other. Yakumo was nice and seemed to just want to make friends, while Tenzin was quiet and was trying to avoid talking all together. Something Kaito knew he could change.

Sakura seemed to hate Naruto. She always disliked him but Kaito suspected it was because of her huge crush on Sasuke. Yakumo tried befriending her but Sakura yelled at her to stay away from her Sasuke.

Kaito looked at his two old friends, "Sasuke, Naruto! Are you guys excited for Kakashi to be your sensei?!"

Naruto just tilted his head, "You know who he is?"

"Of course, he has been on missions with my brother! Hayate says he is super strong and fast! He is also the smartest ninja he has ever fought with!" Kaito's excitement was over whelming.

Sasuke chuckled, "Of course your brother has talked about him to you."

"Wait?" Yakumo interrupted, "I thought you were from a civilian clan? Your brother is a Jonin?" Tenzin looked up at the green eyed swordsman intrigued.

Kaito just smiled, "Yup! My family is over all civilians. They own store fronts and restraunts. My brother raised me and is the only ninja in the family."

Speaking at a whisper Tenzin finally spoke up, "Your Kenjutsu is incredible. Yet you are only the second generation ninja in your family?"

Naruto jumped up and wrapped his arm around Kaito, "Of course he is amazing! Nobody I know works as hard as Kaito!" Kaito felt really warm all of a sudden, and Yakumo noticed Sasuke suddenly glaring at Naruto.

Before the conversation could continue the door opened. Kaito saw Genma with his laid back smirk walk through the door. His long brown hair covered by his bandana. The senbon in his mouth was a fixture in the man's life.

"Alright team 12. Let's go." Kaito hugged his two friends and made his way out the door with his team. Following their sensei they ended up at the front gate of the village.

Turning around he gave them a smile, "Now we will introduce ourselves. I'm Genma Shiranui. I don't like anxious or tense situations, I'm always up for a good joke. My dream was to be part of the Hokage's personnel gaurd. Which I was until this posting. Now let's start with Tenzin.

Tenzin suddenly realized he was center of attention lucked down at his feet as he spoke. "M-my name is Tenzin Saratobi. I don't like big groups, I like fighting and listening to my new friends talk I think? My dream is to be recognized for myself and not my Grandfather."

Genma smiled, "Good, so the day you impress me I won't call you honorable grandson then. Now you girl."

Yakumo stood forward enthusiastically, "I am Yakumo Kurama! I hate mean people and my late parents. I like Kurinei sensei, flowers, and painting! My dream is to get control enough over my abilities to remove the seal on me!"

She reminded Kaito of Naruto. She had so much happiness in her voice for being the last of her clan. "Good. Now little Gekkō."

Moving forward Kaito responded, "I am Kaito Gekkō. I hate senseless fighting, I like Kenjutsu, ice cream, sushi, and hanging out with my friends. My dream is to be the greatest swordsman Konoha has ever seen!"

Shaking his head Genma couldn't help but laugh, "Oh little Gekkō, you are so much like your brother." Kaito couldn't help but feel pride grow in his chest at the comparison.

"Now we will have a little test. If you don't complete the test or fail then you will go back to the academy."

Suddenly the whole team could feel the tension. They can't go back to academy they just became Genin, "But sensei we just promoted to Genin!"
