"Allow me to escort you home," Eros offered, his voice warm and gentle.

I nodded in response as we made our way out of the packhouse. I knew it pained him to spend the night apart, but I insisted, leaving him with no choice. "Thank you," I whispered, and together we walked towards his parked car outside.

As for Blythe and the others, the pack council had reached a decision. They would remain in their prison until their memories of us were completely erased.

Alpha had assured us that there was someone capable of performing such a task, and Uncle Dan was also aware. It was a relief to know that the problem would be resolved yet a lingering worry remained. Once Blythe and her friends forgot about us, what actions might she take against me and Beta?

My thoughts snapped back to the present as Eros opened the car door for me. Technically, I could have walked to Auntie Elvie's house, but he insisted on driving. He believed that a Luna shouldn't have to traverse the roadside.

I climbed into the car, and Alpha closed the door behind me. He took his place in the driver's seat, inserting the key into the ignition. As the engine roared to life, he turned to me and asked, "I forgot to ask Algie about your visit to the Dencio residence. How did it go?"

A smile tugged at my lips, and I couldn't contain it, so I bit my lip to suppress it. He noticed my amusement and couldn't help but asked, "Why?"

"If we hadn't gone to the Dencio residence, I wouldn't have realized just how cute Beta is," I replied, the happiness evident in my voice.

"What?!" Alpha exclaimed, taken aback by my declaration.

His loud outburst caught me off guard, and I turned to look at him with surprise. Realizing his reaction, he repeated, "What... I mean, why? How?" His confusion was palpable, the initial twinge of jealousy evident upon hearing that I found Beta cute. Despite being firmly mated, he couldn't completely quell his possessiveness.

I sighed, shooting him a playful glare before quickly replacing it with a smile. "You're right, Mr. Dencio's daughter is Beta's mate."

Suddenly, Alpha burst into laughter, the sound filling the car as he struck the steering wheel. Was this the first time I had heard him laugh so freely? Shaking his head, he chuckled, "My gut feeling is truly something." His gaze shifted to me. "So, how did he react? What did he say to his mate?"

When did he develop such an interest in gossip?

Instead of teasing him, I simply answered, "He referred to Clara as his mate." His laughter erupted once again, and I couldn't help but join in, not just because of what I had shared, but because of the genuine joy radiating from him.

"Clara..." Alpha nodded, appreciating the name. "I can only imagine Algie's reaction. It must have been quite awkward." He couldn't contain his laughter, shaking his head as he drove.

As we left the packhouse, the topic of discussion remained to Beta Algie. "We invited Clara to come to the pack village. Beta Algie even offered her the opportunity to become a pack member."

He glanced at me while maneuvering the car. "Did she agree?"

"Yes, she agreed. She wants to discover more about herself," I replied.

"That's great. I'm curious about her being part of the Alpha bloodline. I'd like to meet her as well."

I nodded. "There's no difference between her and Beta. It's likely that her pack is from one of the packs here in Lupusmons, possibly even his mother's original pack."

"Then it's no wonder she's mated to Algie."

Agreeing, I nodded again, and soon we arrived in front of Auntie Elvie's house. In truth, the packhouse was just 20 meters away from where I resided. I couldn't help but think that my mate had wasted fuel by driving me home when I could have easily walked.
