Chapter 7 - Confrontation

Kiyotaka's POV

*Knock* *Knock*

I heard someone knocked on my room door, "Come in." I said giving the visitor permission to enter

The visitor then opened the door, "U-um... Hello..." Greeted the visitor in a shy tone

I turned myself around to see who's my visitor and only to see Hasekura bringing a bag with her.

"Oh, good afternoon Hasekura." I greeted back, "To what do I owe you the pleasure?" I asked

"I was wondering if we could have lunch t-together?" She asked, "B-but! Don't m-misunderstand I only wanted to have lunch with you cause my friend is currently busy for today!" She clarified while waving both her hands

"Is that so? Then I don't see the problem to decline your invitation." I accepted

I can see her smile widely as I accepted to go lunch with her. "So where are we gonna go for lunch?" She asked

"I found the garden here very peaceful maybe we could have lunch there?" I responded suggesting her a place

Out all of the places in the hospital the garden was very peaceful although we could eat at the cafeteria in here but I much prefer a peaceful and quiet place but I might have to go towards the cafeteria to buy lunch.

"Sure, we could go and have lunch there." She agreed, "You can go there first now since I'll be going towards the cafeteria to buy lunch, I'll catch up." I told her

"No, there's no need to worry about it Kiyotaka-kun! I bought lunch for both of us!" She said as she took out a bento inside the bag she was carrying.

"I don't know what to say? Thanks?" I thanked her to which she responded as she shakes her head, "No, no, no, I am the one who asked you for lunch didn't I? Isn't it normal for a person to bought the invited party a lunch?"

Is it though? I feel like your not suppose to obligated to bought someone lunch if you invite them.

"I guess if you say so..." I told her, "I'll take you to the garden then!" She happily said as she drove me away from my room towards the elevator.

We arrived at the first floor passing by the aquarium to go towards the garden and went looking for a bench for her to sit.

After managing to find a spot for us to have lunch we then get ready to eat. "Here's your bento." She said and handed me the bento she made.

I opened then opened the bento box, the contents of it is consisted of Fish, Vegetables, Tamagoyaki, and rice.

"Did you made this all by yourself?" I asked her, "Yeah I did made all by myself since I love cooking." She responded.

I ate the fish first along with rice, "This fish is seasoned very delicately." I praised, "I did, my grandma taught me on how to season meats properly." She said proudly

I proceed to try and eat the fish and then ate the omelette (tamagoyaki) and the vegetables which are broccoli and small slices of tomatoes.

"By the way, why did you specifically go have lunch with me?" I asked her

She directed her gaze towards me and smiled, "It's because I found it comfortable talking with you these past few days in the hospital." She replied

I'm glad there are people who appreciates my company, back in that place no one even wanted to be with or trusted the same goes with my supposed "friends" in the that place.

"I very appreciate it that you find my presents nicely." I told her.

We both finished eating our lunch, "Hey, how about we stroll around the hospital?" She asked
