To Anna Henderson, monsters were creatures that resided within the pages of a book, or on a game board, set to help any player escape reality, if only for a little while. The threats posed by such dangers were simply a fantasy, with the knowledge that, if one wished to escape these creatures, all they had to do was close the page and send themselves back to the real world.
When Will Byers goes missing in November of 1983, a chain of events is set off around the once sleepy town of Hawkins, Indiana, throwing her little brother and her friends straight into the eye of a storm they never could've predicted. One where the dangers of Dungeons and Dragons are no longer just a game, and magic is no longer just a fantasy. However, when a party gone wrong leaves a member of Hawkins High School as another one of the missing, Anna and her friends begin to hurtle headfirst into the storm, with nothing in their way to break their fall.
For the monsters are beginning to seep off the page, and they are very, very real.

Hi and welcome to Sticks and Stones! In honor of my 10th anniversary on Wattpad today (September 12th, 2022), I thought I'd post a new story for the hyperfixation that's completely taken over my life since volume 1 of season 4 came out at the end of May. I hope you guys love these characters and their story as much as I do, and I'm so excited for you guys to finally meet them.
