Mist swirled around my face, nipping at my skin underneath my black nightgown. I shivered and looked at my surroundings. I don't know why I did, I've been here thousands of times before. I refreshed my memory anyways. Black silhouettes of bare trees stood prickling the fading, navy blue horizon. Black rose bushes surrounded the sides and back of the turning, dirt path. Little stones dotted the path like the millions of stars in the sky. I walked down the path looking at my bare feet. I winced each time I tread on a sharp stone pricking out of the ground.

I walked for what felt like hours, but I wasn't tired. I was used to this by now. I stopped when I reached the black obsidian tower, which blended into the pitch black sky. I glared at the stairs as if they were the reason I was here. As a sudden wave of anger crashed into me, I flipped the bird at the tower, then I calmly climbed up the stairs. I ran my hand against the obsidian brick, feeling every familiar bump, crack, and crevice imprinted in the cold material.

I was at the top in six minutes, maybe less. Then a sudden wave of darkness and fear suffocated me. I shivered, I still wasn't used to the feeling. It stood right in front of the small window, looking out at the never-changing scenery.

"H3ll0, l0ng t!m3 no s33, 3h?" It asked, not moving a single muscle. I nodded, shifting uncomfortably. "N0 n33d t0 b3 @fr@!d my fr!3nd," It hissed calmly. I mustered up all my courage and glared at it. No anger floated up inside of me, it was still the same, cold fear and regret that washed over me when I saw it. I shivered and rubbed my arms. It was chillier up here then I last remembered.

"Y3s, ! kn0w, !t's qu!t3 ch!11y h3r3 f0r @ m0rt@1 1!k3 y0urs3lf."

I sighed and nodded my head. It turned from the window and glided over to me. Literally. The oil colored mist wavered and stretched as it moved. The big red eye peered straight through me and into my soul. The eye darkened slightly as it read me like a book. I looked away from it's strong gaze and almost started crying. It came closer to me and embraced me in a hug as the mist solidified. I swallowed the lump in my throat and pushed it away. It obeyed and backed off.

"T311 m3 fr0m y0ur p0!nt 0f v13w," It said calmly.
