Love was a shaking mess when they finally started to get closer to her destination. To Corpse's apartment.

Sykkuno

I can't go, I'm so sorry

I'm busy with business,
but here's the address he sent me

That was the last message from Sykkuno, and she felt like screaming when he said he couldn't come with Love. She could understand he had business to deal with, but their friend could be dead inside his own apartment. She didn't even notice when she started to cry again – during their drive she started crying multiple times.

They have parked before the multiple-story building, Love double-checking for the address.

„Thanks for the drive," Love said, her voice shaky from crying.

„I'm coming with you," Angie unbuckled herself just as Love was already out of the car.

„No," she said immediately. „What if..."

„I don't care," the blonde cut her off sternly. „I wasn't there for you when Ash... " Her voice broke mid-sentence, guilt taking over her nice features. She never quite forgive herself for not being there for her little sister when she needed her the most. „Now I'm here. And I'm not leaving you."

Love's bottom lip trembled as she slowly nodded her head, she didn't have the time, nor the right mentality to argue with her about this. If she happened to stumble across his body, she knew she wouldn't be able to live like that. She couldn't lose the most important person in her life, not again.

Sykkuno gave her the code for the door so she could let herself in – she didn't ask how he knew it, it was probably because he was here before, but she didn't care.

As she ran up the stairs, Angie right behind her, she repeated one sentence over and over again.

Don't be dead, don't be dead, don't be dead.

Don't leave me.

Before she could reach his door, she stopped right at the top of the staircase and looked at her sister. Both of them breathed heavy due to springting up the stairs, and Love cursed herself for not being in better shape.

„What?" Angie asked, impatience showing through her voice.

„He's very private..." Love began. „I'd like you to wait for me here."

„Love, no." Angie argued back in an instant, determination in her voice.

„You did enough, Angie," Love said just as another tear slipped from her eye. „I'll scream for you if I need you."

Angie was tempted to just throw her over her shoulder and check it for herself, but she knew she had to trust her sister with this.

„Don't cause any more harm to yourself," Angie said, as she let go of Love's hand. „If you see something that you shouldn't..."

Love knew what she meant. There was a pit in her stomach as she looked back at her sister. She did this with Ash – she went to her house as soon as she could, just to see her body getting taken away by paramedics. She had nightmares for so long, it was such a traumatic experience she couldn't stop crying every time she woke up.

„But..."

„I'll handle it," Love cut her off, and took the last few stair steps to his floor.

Love was a shaking mess when she finally reached his door. Her sister wasn't by her side anymore, just as she asked, but she started second-guessing herself. Would she be able to handle it, though? The absolute worst she could imagine?
