"Kylie Andrews, have a seat" I told the young lady standing in front of my desk. I've been looking for an assistant for about three weeks, this is the first interview I've done. "Your name?" The young lady replied, "I'm Veronica Belt, here's my resume." I need this interview to go well and quickly,  I have very little time before I meet my next client at a possible new flip house.
I flip houses for a living, I do most of the work on my own alongside my crew. I need an assistant to help me organize my flips, help me find new contractors etc. This business has taken off like crazy!
I look over Veronica's resume, she's been a personal assistant for some pretty influential people.  I asked her a few general questions,  she was very well spoken and had great answers and ideas. "If you are interested, the job is yours" I said. "Of course I am interested!" Veronica replied, "when do I start?" " I know it's short notice but are you free in an hour to meet with me and my next potential client at a possible new project?" She replied, "Yea, sure just let me run and change into more appropriate work site  clothing and I'll be there, text me the address!" I replied "sure, be there in an hour."
After Veronica left the office, I spent the next hour cleaning off the extra desk in the next office so she could have her own space and preparing for the next client.  I reviewed the important points from the
information the client provided me. Man, his name is familiar,  I feel like I may know him, his name was Jayson Street. I knew a Jay Street in high-school. Surely its not him.
I arrived at the address provided by Jayson, before he or Veronica. I looked around outside the house, it has good bones. Needs a paint job or new siding, the front porch is beautiful especially after a reconfigure and a touch up paint job. May need new windows but foundation looks solid. I took a seat on the stoop and waited, Jayson arrived about 10minutes later. He apologized for being late as he exited the car. I looked up from my file and saw the most handsome man my eyes had ever seen. Dark hair, blue mysterious eyes ,tanned skin buff. I then realized, this was Jay I knew in high school.  He approached me and said , "Kylie Andrews? From lakeside high school? Oh what a coincidence!" I was stunned he even remembered me but looked like this to boot, damn...."Jay Street? Well this is a surprise!" I replied as I lost myself in his eyes.  We shook hands and I realized I had business to do. "My assistant is on her way, then we can get started" I continued.  We made our way to the front door as Veronica pulled up. I introduced the two of them  as we entered  the house.
The house was dusty and dirty but for the most part in good shape considering it was 100 years old.  Jayson explained he was moving back to lakeside to be closer to his family. He purchased the house after his wife left and impending divorce and needed the 4 bedrooms because his kids were with him. He said the kids would be with him during the week and at their moms on the weekends.  We toured all the rooms and he showed me which room was whose. He said his oldest girls have agreed to share a room. I looked around and said, "would the oldest girls prefer their own rooms? I could easily add a closet in this office and turn it into a fifth bedroom. " He said," seriously? You'd be their hero!" We finished our tour and I gave him the estimate.  "Think about the options I gave you, take a couple of days and get back  to me. My crew and I can start as early as Monday." I told him.  "OK thanks so much, I'll call you asap." Jayson opened the door and Veronica an I left.
