The Indonesian Open champions, Muhammad Fahrid is the number three seed despite being only 20 years of age. He won the title in Jakarta after beating today's number six seed, Tan Jun Hong of Malaysia, the sixteen year old. As for the rest of the ten seeds, I should inform you that all of the ten players have been in a major final this year. We have the two European Championship finalist, Jansen and eventual champions Kohler, Shinawatra lost at the Denmark Open to the European champion, Wong Ka Lung lost at the final of the Japan Open against the local, Kiku Honda, whilst Im Yong Soo and Neeraja Patel won the Korea and India Open respectively." the announcer said.
