0.4 Chaos Always Follows

Start from the beginning

He believed in loyalty but not following someone so blindly as everyone seemed to follow the Governor. He didn't want to think about any of that right now, not when he had to be ready for anything, looking for every single person that could be around the corner and ready to shoot.
He refused to die and leave his sister alone in this world especially after he promised his parents to protect her and himself. Mason, watching everyones back, ready to keep everyone safe.
He didn't like this place, and he wanted to get
Daryl and get the hell out of here once and for all.
The group rounded a corner, but what they saw
surprised them, it was Daryl and Merle, in a
fighting ring, fighting each other whilst the
crowd went wild in excitement.
Jackson furrowed his brows at the sight of his two brothers, wondering why they were doing that, before Rick had given them all a signal, and he had shot the light above the Governor, making
the lot dark, allowing them to attack.

Mason kneeled behind cover with Maggie as they shot into the opening, aiming only for the guards,
whilst the Mason kept his eye out for the man who had beat his sister, wanting nothing but to shoot him and make sure he couldn't ever do it again to her or anyone.
Rick had thrown in a smoke grenade, Jax ran out into the big arena for a few moments.
While Jax was grabbing his brothers Mason had only one person on his mind, Martinez.
Just as Mason lined up for a shot Jax came back, with Daryl and Merle, and before he knew it, he had been pulled from the cover, and they were
all now running away from the town, back into
the woods beyond the walls.
Mason would have killed Martinez without a second thought but he had only killed a few people, but would that have made him feel better?

Murdering a man in cold blood? He didn't even know how his sister would react if she told him.
But he couldn't dwell on the subject as he ran, keeping up with the rest of the group, ignoring the fact that Merle was currently with them. Mason was questioning the fact that Rick was really going to let the man stay when he
had taken Maggie and Glenn hostage.
However, when Rick tried to refuse his help, Merle told him it wasn't worth it, and they needed him to get out, which they did, so eventually, they all followed.

Mason stuck near Maggie as they ran out, he wanted to do everything in his power to protect her for Glenn as he knew that hopefully, he was doing the same with his sister.
Occasionally taking down some dead ones in the road as they ran onwards, and then into the woods, trying to put it past them that Merle was with them again.
Before they all knew it, it was daylight - they
had been running through the woods all night
until the sun had finally come up, and they
could finally see again, and were now back at
the car.
The second Glenn saw Merle, along with
Michonne, everyone started arguing, Daryl and
Jackson defending their brother, Glenn, Maggie
and Michonne arguing that Merle had tried to
kill her and hurt Glenn and undoubtedly had a hand in Kassies beating.
"No, he helped us get out of there!" Daryl
defended Merle, as Glenn was about to argue
about the fact the Governor could have done a
lot more to Maggie because of him, because he
hadn't stopped him.

"Yeah, right after he beat the shit out of you!"
Rick argued, having seen Merle beat up Daryl
like he didn't care it was his brother.
He had seen it with his own eyes, and it disgusted him.

"Yeah and let's not forget how you forced me watch as your lackey beat the hell out of my twin sister!" Mason yelled out in frustration.

"Hey, we both took our licks, man." Merle
finally spoke up, from his place behind Daryl
and Jax, leaning on a tree like he had not a care
in the world at what was going on right now.

"Shut up, Merle." Jax told him, pointing a
finger at his older brother before he aimed his gun back at Michonne, who was holding her sword towards him to get to the man in question.
