Chapter 31

The day went by faster than I thought. Magnus and I went over to Raphaels' checking on him. After I healed his arm, which didn't need much considering his vamp healing. We talked about Rosa before we had to leave. Magnus went home, while I went and babysat Madzie. By the time it was midnight, I was home. I entered the room, to see Alexander thinking about something and Magnus offering him something to drink.

"What's wrong?" I asked

"Nothing. It's just Jace... he's my parabatai, so I should be able to help him. But this, I just... I don't know how." He told us facing the balcony again

I glanced at Magnus, before grabbing Alexanders arm, so he can face us.

"I know you're scared. But we don't know for sure if Jace is going down the same road as Celine. Don't lose Hope." I said as i connected my arms with the boys.

"Thank you." Alexander told us before sitting down on the couch with a bunch of books.

"What's all this?" Magnus asked 

"I need to stop these mundane murders. But we have no idea who or what the Owl is. And we hit a dead end on testing on Morgan. Digging for clues." Alec explained as Magnus and I looked through a book

"Not to be an overeager warlock boyfriend, but... need a hand?" Magnus asked

"I will gladly help too, Alexander." I said

"Y'all help me all the time, If I came to you every time I had a problem--" Alec started bfore i interrupted

"We'll spend more time together. Oh, the torture." I said

"That was so me." Magnus said "Look, after I get some food in you, I'll come to the Institute and examine Morgan. See if my magic can shed some light on things." Magnus told him

"Alexander, let us help you." I said

Thank you. But with this... I just..." Alec started trying to explain. I gently circle my arms around his waist while Magnus puts his on his shoulders.

"We'll make it through this." I whispered

"One step at a time." Magnus continued

"Yeah. Yeah, I know. Thank you." Alec told us

I watched as Magnus left to get food, while I stayed to help Alexander. 

'Mamma' I heard 

"Raphael" I said

I immediately opened a portal and appeared in front of Raphael. I saw Isabelle and Clary with him.

"My sweet boy." I said immediately going on to healing his burnt leg. "It's okay, mijo. It will all be better." I said 

After I healed him, I questioned him.

"what happened? Who did this to you?" I asked

"I tried to get a lead on the vampire, and I tried to take her down on my own. She got the upper hand." He told us

"Who is she?" Clary asked

"I don't know." He said

I looked at him. 

"Let's get you home, mijo. Thank you, Isabelle, Clary. I will handle it from here." I said picking him up in my arms. I opened a portal to his room. I gently placed him on his bed, handing him some blood.

"When I find out who did this to you, I will kill them." I said

"I won't stop you. Thank you, mamma, for rescuing me." He said

"You called for me. I will always hear when you call for me. I love you, mijo." I told him kissing his forehead "Get some sleep." I said

I stayed with him, until he fell asleep before teleporting to the Institute. I found Magnus and Alexander, alongside Clary heading to the basement. I followed them
