Chapter 12

After an eventful night, I watched over Alec as he regained his strength.

"Take your time." I told him as he tried sitting up

"Let us heal you." Magnus told him

We sat him up, and Magnus and I slowly healed him, before we went to the Institute.

As Magnus and I got called into the room with Aldertree, he told us that we would be punished.

"I would like to see you try." I told him before leaving with Magnus

As we left the office, we walked with Alec.

"How'd it go with Aldertree?" He asked us

"Well, the man didn't disappoint. In his own charming inimitable way, he informed us that we will indeed be punished, but the form of punishment is yet to be decided." Magnus told him

"All for trying to save my life." Alec told us

"Don't worry, Aldertree can't do anything to us." I told him

"That's good. Um, Jace may have been the one who pulled me out, but I did feel you there. i felt both of you. And it did make a difference. So... Thank you." Alec told us

"Thank you for not dying on me. On us." I told him

I watched as he smiled at us.

"How is Jace?" Magnus asked him

"He won't be gone long. Once his hand touches the Soul-Sword the truth will come out... And prove that he's never been on valentine's side. Look, um, I know that with everything that's been going on, I... We all haven't had a chance to... " Alec was stuttering to say

"Go on that first date we all never had?" Magnus asked

"Right, yes." Alec said agreeing to what he asked

"I know of a place in SoHo that has the best lamb kebab this side of Marrakesh." Magnus told him

I watched as Alec showed us his beautiful smile.

"Or we can portal to Marrakesh. You hungry?" I asked him

"Starving." he told us

We all laughed at that, getting ready to leave until Raj came

"Hey, Alec? Demon briefing in the ops center. All hands-on deck." he informed Alec

"My dear Raj... You look well." Magnus told him

I laughed at the face Raj made. Alec turned back at us

"Rain check?" I asked

"Yes, yeah. Is that okay?" Alec asked us

"You go battle your demons." Magnus told him as we went separate ways from each other.

"Shall we go home dear?" I asked him

"Yes, I do believe you deserve a present for all your hard work." He told me

I laughed as we opened a portal, going straight to the bedroom.

A FEW HOURS LATER

We got dressed, and relaxed. Suddenly there was a knock on the door. I went and opened it, only to see my boy, injured.

"Help me." He said as I grabbed him

"Magnus!" I yelled for him as I carried him to the couch

"Don't worry, baby. I'm here. I'm here." I told him as I began healing the cuts on him

"Who did this to you?" I asked him
