Veronica hummed quietly to herself as her tired eyes scanned the worn-out pages of the old songbook sitting in her lap, gently tapping her chin with the pencil she held in her hand,
The day of her departure to new york, where she’d spend the next three months of her life was approaching at a faster pace than they all hoped and so in an attempt to spend as much time with her best friend as she could before they parted ways to work on their own projects veronica agreed to help Aurora finish the couple of songs they’d been working on,
“How about this,” veronica dragged out as she squinted at the yellowish page, “let’s double what we already have and layer over that, before going back into the chorus,” she suggested, they were currently in the process of framing the bridge of what they hoped to be Aurora’s next single,
“Alright sounds good,” the brunette sitting inside the booth replied, veronica waited until she received her friend’s signal before she pressed play on the instrumental, A bright smile tugged at the corner of veronica’s lips as she heard the bridge finally coming together after what truly felt like hours of reframing the same bit,
“Alright, let’s cut that all together and see what it sounds like,” Aurora sighed as she removed her headphone and joined veronica outside of the booth,
“Already done it,” veronica smiled as she pressed play on the final product, emitting a small laugh at the look of pure awe that blanketed her best friend’s face,
