Holy fuck, she thought once he walked into his office. She was not expecting that.

The meeting room was huge with a long glass table set with ten leather chairs on either side. Satine often dreamed about being at the head of the table one day, on the throne her boss looked so attractive relaxed against.

She didn't have a problem with topping up glasses or handing out papers, it was a means to an end and gave her the perfect opportunity to listen and learn. It seemed Mr Yoon had the opposite opinion as he tapped his fingers along the table, tense and irritated by the view of Satine pouring water into each of his colleague's glasses. He could barely concentrate on one of the most important contracts his company had ever dealt with.

It wasn't all her necessarily distracting him. Yes, she looked appealing in her little black dress and nude stockings but when did she not look amazing? It was more the subtle smirks of his colleagues every time she would lean over their shoulders. And their flirtatious tones as they thanked her so condescendingly. Maybe it was the rearranging of their obvious arousal in their pants.

He couldn't explain his distaste, but he was rarely ever so infuriated.

"We need them to take the forty: sixty offer," one of the men sighed, scratching his forehead.

"Does Mr Stone strike you as the type to settle for less, Andrews?" Mr Yoon asked, finally drawing his attention away from his secretary.

"No, sir."

"Then why suggest I make such a foolish offer?"

Satine tried to hide her smirk as the man lowered his head in shame.

"Can any of you give me even the most basic of good ideas?" He had his fingers pressed against his forehead, trying to relieve the tension built up from the number of ridiculous propositions he had heard that morning.

Walking towards the door, Satine was biting her tongue. She knew she wasn't in the position to speak up; that's what she kept telling herself. Of course, her self-control only lasted around five seconds. There was no shutting a girl like her up once she'd come up with an idea.

"You need to be smart in your approach," she muttered under her breath, holding onto the door handle but not being able to pull.

All of the men in the room hadn't stopped staring at her to begin with, so her sudden opinion didn't startle them like it did her boss.

He was fully aware of all the eyes on her, despite refusing to look up. He had also already worked out the vulgar things each of his employees were thinking and deducted a hundred dollars off their bonuses for every second they stared at her ass.

"What was that Miss Fontaine?" he questioned, finally establishing eye contact. It was now only them in the room, everyone else ceased to exist.

Flicking her hair behind her shoulder, Satine took a deep breath and stepped back towards the end of the long glass table.

"I said, you need to be smart in your approach."

A few little scoffs could be heard like a verbal Mexican wave. Satine didn't like how dismissive they were when she was at least ten times smarter than half of them. Mr Yoon, however, didn't move a muscle. He just kept the same subtle smirk and encouraged her to carry on.

"By nature, big organisations are greedy and territorial over what's theirs, right? Yet it never truly works in their favour. You want to expand and overtake this company but you're going about it the wrong way. You're being too predictable. You've got to be strategic."
