"NO, NO, NO, NO, NO!" SOPHIE CRIES, succumbing to the horrors of what she had endured.
After the trio had escaped through the pine needle woods, they waded through a stream to swallow their scent. The water had been ice cold and the mud had threatened to devour them whole, but if there was any chance they could cover their tracks, it was best they took it. So that's what they did, right up until the point where the mortal sunk onto the river bank, weeping and mourning what she used to be. Allura could see that Jude was growing frustrated. It's not that she wasn't sympathetic. She knew more than anyone what it was like ━━━━━━ being a toy to the creatures of Faerie. But adrenaline was high, and the girl forgot that not everybody could be the cold and iron-willed Jude. "This isn't real. This didn't happen."
Jude had snapped at the frightened girl who refused to walk any longer.
And so, they decided it was best for Allura to stay with Sophie whilst Jude ran the way to her house and fetched her sister. Vivienne Duarte, the half-faerie, not Taryn, that is. Allura knew that if anyone could get her to safety, it'd be Vivi. It didn't take much to convince the girl and in a moment's notice, she was gone ━━━━━━ leaving Allura alone with the stolen mortal.
