i have just got in the house from a late training and I decide to facetime my girlfriend, keira walsh. I live in Spain and play for Barcelona, which I love, but it means I have to be long distance from keira seeing as she lives in England and plays for Manchester City. I wait a couple of rings but then she picks up.
"hey baby"
"hey kei!"
"how are you?"
"I'm good, just back from training. how are you?"
"I'm good."
"sure?" I know keira inside out so I know when something is wrong. and she's acting differently, she's not as lively as she usually is.
"yep" she says through the phone smiling slightly. but it's not a real smile.
"you can talk to me you know, it's me"
"yea"
i wait a couple of minutes until keira talks.
"have you seen my instagram lately" she says so quietly I can barely hear her. i sigh.
"yeah, I'd hoped you hadn't seen it" recently keira has been getting loads of hate online because she hasn't started the last couple of matches for city and when she comes on people are complaining that shes terrible. "im sorry kei"
"it's fine"
"no it's not because it's upsetting you"
she shrugs her shoulders.
"it's just so shit, I get hate if I start matches, I get hate if I don't start, I get hate if I come on as a sub. I can't win"
"I know, I know. it will calm soon and I bet in a week or two everyone will have forgotten why they were hating on you in the first place."
"I hope so" keira says sadly.
"I know something that will cheer you up"
"what?"
"I was going to leave it as a surprise but seeing as you're sad I'll tell you."
"what is ittt" she says impatiently.
"so I spoke to my manager and told him that you were getting hate so you were upset and I can come-"
"wait what..you can come home?"
"yeah" I say smiling.
"for how long?"
"2 weeks"
"2 weeks! when do you come?!"
"this weekend"
"this weekend!! im so excited!"
"I thought that might cheer you up" kiera just smiles at me. "I love you"
"I love you too. thank you luce"
"of course"

we chat a bit more until I notice keira getting sleepy. not long later, i notice keira has fallen asleep. so I walk upstairs to my bedroom and get changed, put my phone on charge and then lie in bed with my phone next to me. I take a screen shot since keira is so cute when she sleeps and then I put my head on my pillow. I just stare at my phone for a little while, before I start to feel tired and close my eyes too.
