Mother Huo had it well planned

Start from the beginning

Gu Shishi gasped from the pain but was still a little bit surprised by that.

With the exception of refilling her health bar, she hasn’t heard from the system in quite a while.

She had been using the mid-level painting skill for a while now and still had not been advanced beyond that.

She had both anticipated and came to terms with that.

Mainly she had been distracted by many other things lately and had been enjoying the joy of painting.

“Hot dang!”

She hadn’t expected the surprise to come so abruptly.

She turned pale all of a sudden. She wanted to smile but she was in too much pain to be able to smile.

Looking at how Gu Shishi was frowning, gasping for breaths, her lips tightened and wanting to cry and to smile at the same time, Huo Sishen felt a dullness in his chest.

He had placed his large hands on her back and helping her relax this entire time.

He left to make a call to Siyi in the middle and talked with him a little.

When he returned, Gu Shishi immediately said to him, “You have not yet picked the ten names for the child.”

The corners of Huo Sishen’s lips twitched. “Okay, I’ll pick.”

It wasn’t that he didn’t want to pick. She was the one who had been keeping them from him. She had been saying how she was not yet done reading Poems of Song or copying from the Book of Poetry. And she refused to let him have a sneak preview at them because she didn’t want him to have a preconception.

Now that she was about to give birth, it had occurred to her again.

Gu Shishi blushed a little as well.

She was the main reason why this assignment had dragged out for so long.

She had wanted perfection and that was why this item was still open

“Huo Yiming.

“Taking the meaning of shocking the world in one shot.”

Gu Shishi quickly looked and recited the names in between her contractions.

Huo Sishen lifted his brows some and tightened his lips.

“Too noisy.” (T/N: “Ming” means “sound”.)

Gu Shishi’s look froze a little. She flipped through her sheets some more.

“Yiran, from Dream Pool Essays. Taking the meaning of a bright future.”

Huo Sishen nodded half-heartedly. “Do-able.”

“Do-able is a ‘no’.”

Gu Shishi puffed up her chins.

She flipped some more!

“Yingqing. It’s a good name for a girl. It’s clear and simple.”

“Too gullible.”

Huo Sishen didn’t even stop to think. As far as a girl is concerned, he didn’t want her to be too overly na?ve.

Mother Gu was a living testimony.

Gu Shishi wanted to shove the paper on his face.

“Hua Yuxin.”

“The characters don’t look too symmetrical?”

“Huo Yuyue. The moon shines at night.” (T/N: Yu = light. Yue = moon)

“This name is too gender-neutral.”
