The Boss Had A Nosebleed

Start from the beginning

Gu Shishi sat down next to the table.

She was flipping through the menu, wearing a man’s suit jacket that was obviously oversized for her.

“You had a nosebleed earlier. Must have eaten too much hot food lately.”

Huo Sishen’s lips twitched. He did not want to engage in this ridiculous subject.

Gu Shishi spent forever flipping through the menu, and he finally lost his patience.

He took the menu away from her. He’d do the ordering.

After reading the WeChat from Luo Pingting, he was determined to take her to the top cuisine in town.

A French restaurant.

From soup, dinner rolls, appetizers, all the way to entrées and desserts.

He explained to her how to pair different wine with different dishes.

Aperitif to go with the appetizers, red wine with meat plates, and white wine for seafood. Something strong like brandy after the meal was acceptable.

He also explained the different types of wine glasses that went with them as well as how to hold them and how to enjoy them.

As Gu Shishi listened to him, her eyes turned into mosquito coils. (@_@)

The names in English, the names in French, all the names... made her feel dizzy.

She had encountered many rich people in the past when she was following her master around, but they rarely went to a formal western style restaurant and paid so much attention to all the nitty gritty details.

“Listen to me carefully.”

Huo Sishen knocked on the table with his knuckles.

He would teach his girl.

He was the one who taught his sister basic etiquette at the dining table back in the days.

If Gu Shishi didn’t know any of these, he would hold her hands and teach her until she got them.

She was his and nobody could criticize her!

“You can be as casual as you want at home, but you must at least know these rules.”

Huo Sishen paused.

The saying is “rich and noble.” First rich, then noble.

And elegance was the most important characteristic of nobility.

His girl could be as capricious and free will as she’d like. He could have her under his wings.

But once they have children, it would become important for her to tell what’s right from wrong. That’s the only way she’d be able to pass them on.

Just like his little sister.

She could have her ways at home. She would be protected by her father and brother.

But when she got married and needed to raise her children, she’d be looked down by her husband’s family if she was ignorant. Or worst, she’d fail to raise her children properly.

As Huo Sishen was thinking about this, his look became colder.

And there was a discomfort in his chest.

He looked up and looked at the sweet and mellow girl sitting docilely in front of him with his suit jacket over her. He thought about how, in the future, she’d marry another man, have on another man’s clothes, have kids with another man... raise their children...
