Y/N thought her life was hard enough having to dill with her evil step dad Gus but what happens when a new boy moves into her town and everyone around her starts dying

Groaning, she looks over at the clock and sees she still have 2 hours till she needs to be at school.
So she gets and go to the bathroom take a shower and gets ready for school when I get out and go to the kitchen I see mom putting everything on the the table for breakfast and Drew already at the table with his dog Zowie laying next to Shadow on the ground
I used to always loved helping mom and the kitchen talking to her about how good my day went or the things I learned but since Gus moved in
I always dread having to eat with the family cause whether I wanted it or not Gus and me would always get into a arguments but on days like today when Gus would have to go to work early it made me feel like everything was back to normal.
I walk over to the table petting Shadow and Zowie before going to the table to eat
"N/n did you hear about the new kid who just moved here" Drew said causing Y/n to look at him confused
"no"? I said "you two should get going you don't want to be late for school" mom said me and Drew grab are bags and go outside and get on are bikes heading to school
Shadow not to far behind me ever since he was a pup he was always protective of me and would follow me everywhere I went including school he would hide out and the woods and wait for me to get out.
Time skip
When I get to school I looked around trying to find my friend Sarah when I spot her setting next to the school sign reading a book
I start to make my way over till I spot a boy I've never seen before being curious on who he is
I walk over to him and tap him on the shoulder making him turn around and look at me when I get a good look at him I realized he was really cute
"Hi I'm Y/n you must be the new boy" I say
"Yeah I'm Jeff Matthews" he said with a little smile I smile back
When I realize he has a small kitten hiding in his jacket
"Who is this little cutie" I say petting the kitten making her purr
"Tiger" Jeff says with a little blush before I can say anything I hear the bell ring signaling school has started
"I better get to class it was nice meeting you Jeff" I said before walking off.
Time skip to class
When I get to class I take my usual seat between Sarah and Clyde
Half way through class I felt someone staring at me I shrugged it off thinking it was Clyde
Five minutes pass and I still feel someone staring again so I look around the class for the person staring when I looked behind me I made eye contact with Jeff making me smile at him seeing we have the same class together when he sees me smile he smiles to making the both of us blush a little
Not realizing that both Sarah and Clyde saw , Sarah who had a smile on her face when she realized that her best friend and the new boy like each other while Clyde was glaring at the both of us.
