"get up khy khy" i heard a soft voice whisper, knowing who it belonged to i slowly opened my eyes ta see ha smiling in my face causing me ta smile also
"why you up mami?" i asked ha and ha smile got bigger
"happy birthday sweetface" she beamed happily causing me ta laugh
"thank you pretty" i spoke and kissed ha softly
"look i made you breakfast in bed now eat while i get khy'azia up and ready for the day" she said motioning towards the tray on the stand beside her bed and a glass of orange juice next to it
"thank you mama i appreciate you fa' real" i thanked ha and she simply smiled and left the room
damn a nigga twenty six now and i'm a dad too, a nigga feeling old na
i grabbed the tray and looked at the food, she cooked me eggs, bacon, sausage, grits, three pancakes with syrup over them and there's a fruit bowl right beside the plate and a little note
