it takes a while, but we finally land. the door is then welded open, and in steps thomas. i breathe a sigh of relief. he sees aris and i and immediately rushes over, checking we are okay. he still seems to be looking for someone else though. we all get uncuffed and taken out of the train carriage.
we all find ourselves right outside what seems to be an abandoned warehouse of some sort, and it seems to have been converted. i get distracted, looking around, when i remember i need to find aris to talk to him. i look around but he has disappeared. i wander around the place, before i bump into minho and newt. i give them both massive hugs, give a quick rundown on what happened, and then ask if either of them have seen aris.
"yeah he's behind you" newt says. i look behind me and sure enough aris is standing behind me looking completely heartbroken again.
"shit." i say, when i realise. he was close enough to see me, but not close enough to hear what we were talking about.
"aris!" i shout to him, with a slight smile, trying to lighten the mood. i instantly regret it as it could have looked pitying. he runs. ffs. i chase after him, calling his name, but he doesn't stop.
"aris! we need to talk!!" i say again, between breaths. he slows down.
"no thank you" he says, on the verge of tears. he starts to walk away again.
