2 weeks later

Cyrus p.o.v

Lately I haven't been talking to Chris ever since that night . He gave me my own key which made me happy because I don't have to see his face every time I come home . Anyway I was at lunch about to leave with Marlin when one of the schools popular girls asked

" do you guys wanna go to a party tonight "

" no " Marlin answered quickly .

" yes " I said looking at him .

" we will have weed and drinks " she said smiling .

" we will be there " I answered before Marlon .

" ok see you there and wear something revealing " she said to me . I nodded and she walked off .

" we are not going to that party " He said

" yes we are Marlin . Stop being so uptight be more loose " I said

" I'm not being uptight I'm being smart . We barely know anyone here and you're already accepting invites to a party . What if this is a set up so they could do something to you " he said

" you went to many parties back in New York so don't come at me like that . This is my first party and you are about to ruin it for me " I said

" I'm helping you . I know exactly what happens at those type of parties . Loud music . Guys grinding up on girls and trying to get in their pants . I don't want nothing to happen to you" he said

" Marlin we are going to that party " I said

" no we aren't . You can but I'm not . Cyrus you don't even smoke or drink so why are you going " he asked

" because I want to have fun " I said

" how are you going to have fun if you don't know anyone there " he shouted .

" first stop yelling at me . Second I can find new friends " I yelled back .

" yea whatever I wonder what Chris will say when you tell him that you are going to a party without me . I bet you he knows what are at those types of parties too " he said and I slapped him .

" I don't care what Chris thinks . I do what I want " I said

" how are you gonna even get there . Do you even know where it is " he asked

" I will ask someone" I said

" whatever do what you want . Go ahead learn from your mistakes.  Go to the party I don't even care just don't take anything they give you to drink or eat " Marlin said and walked away . He got in his car and sat in there . I guess he was waiting for me . I walked up to the girl that told me about the party and asked her where it was and she told me and I nodded . I walked back to Marlin's car and got in . He drove off and we stayed silent . When he pulled up to Chris's house he cut off the car and walked in the house with me. I walked upstairs and he stayed downstairs and walked around .

Chris p.o.v

I was in the kitchen by myself about to go to the studio when I heard footsteps and I knew Cyrus was home .

" Chris " I heard a voice say . I walked to it and saw it was Marlin .

" yea " I said

" Cyrus Is trying to go to this party tonight and I'm not going to be there " he said

" Cyrus " I yelled and I soon heard footsteps .

" what " she said

" you are not going to that party tonight " I said
