I woke up to kaaris morning song. I don't really know what she's singing because her words are undecipherable when she sings
"Daddy" she sat up once she seen my eyes open
"Good morning baby 12" i said as she climbed into my arms
She started talking to me saying random words but i could make out a few. Ball. Court. Dream. Food. And some more
We talked for a long time before nani began to stir in her sleep
"Mommy" kaari said climbing over to nanis side of the bed
"Hey kj" nani stretched tiredly
I sent p a text letting him know what we'd eat. He's a travel chef so we take him on trips with us. After that, I got back to conversating with my daughter and wife
We talked until nani got up then we all went to the restroom to brush our teeth and start our day
"Can we talk? Nani?" I asked while carefully brushing kj's teeth as nani brushed hers
"Yeah what's wrong?" She said after spitting
"Nothings wrong forreal..i just- i mean last night we were talking and- well i mean here lately i don't think you notice but like when we're dealing with kaari and you ask me to do something myself you keep saying soon i'll be a single parent anyways" i struggled to say
Me and nani get along so good it feels weird disagreeing with her. We never disagree
"I'm sorry ja I didn't realize. It's just like when you know when you'll die it just weighs on you so my inside thoughts are blending with my outside thoughts too..i'm sorry" she said turning her attention to me
I didn't think about it like that
"No it's okay" i shrugged then kissed her forehead
Kaari swallowed her toothpaste which is fine because its kid toothpaste
I got quiet, thinking more and more about nanis circumstances while getting kaari ready for her day
When she was done nani took her to breakfast but i stayed in our room getting ready myself
"Hey ja..I didn't..make you mad did i?" Nanis voice sounded while i was in our room straightening it up
I shook my head and kept picking up kaaris toys. She gets them everywhere
Nani took the toys from my hands then hugged me making me instantly hug her back
"I love you" i said to her while squeezing her
"I love you more papa" she replied while rubbing my back
I kissed her lips but she didn't let it last long so our kiss ended soon
"You ready to eat?" She smiled at me
I smiled back then took her hand allowing her to lead me to the eating area where kj was seated eating food
"Mommyy daddyy" she clapped her hands
