i kissed a god
galaxies dribbled off my lips
torn and battered
constellations stung me with such lust
spelling out the story of her and i
starlight and embers
melted on my tongue
under her fingertips
roses of heaven bloomed
fragrant petals caressed my skin
and thorns traced scarlet sonnets
as if i were a poem
a piece of priceless art
simply a mortal easel
until her ethereality
painted me
an angelshe was golden fire
embracing me in a wreckage
of chaos and beauty
i was doomed for destruction
and never had ruin
felt more alluring
