I was walking down the trail when I heard it again. A soft whistling right by my ear,
'You heard that right?' Brian whispered, pausing as he strained his ears for any slight sound
' You must have, it was right by my ear!'
Alessa sighed 'come on, stop it Brian' As she took a huge bite out of her sandwich we snatched from the bin,
It was still perfectly fine except for a bit of dirt,
Brian shuddered 'I still don't know how you can do that without choking, but I'm serious.'
He turned away from Alessa and resumed walking down the path
'I can't tell if you're just playing a stupid, annoying prank on me, or if you actually can't hear it and I'm going crazy!' Brian exclaimed to Alessa as she jogged to catch up.
The sounds of sloshing steps echoed in the tranquil forest,
Alessa gulped down her last bite of the sandwich as she grabbed him and promptly pulled him to a small patch of grass
'Let's set camp here for now' As she eased her Everest Basic Backpack from her sore shoulders
'We just passed by a freshwater creek and I saw a few little fish in it, besides it's gonna be dark soon.'
