Back home the Peters welcomed me in their house. They took me in as their adopted child and they committed to sponsor my education. I may have been a teen mum but that couldn’t be the end of the world for me. Mrs. Peters took care of the baby as I continued with my education. Brian and I also reconciled but we were not to be involved romantically until the time was right.

The two of us went our separate ways with me going to boarding school and him commuting to the University of Zimbabwe on a daily basis. He had to be kept in check according to his father.

“Coming back home every day will be a constant reminder for him that he has responsibility back home, that’s the only way we can try and keep him from going astray,” Mr. Peters said thoughtfully in their little conference with my mum and dad.

“Whatever you decide Mr. Peters, we all know you have our best interests to heart,” my dad said with a shy smile.

“It is well, it is well,” he said quietly, “What the devil meant for our harm will definitely turn out for or good, I know.”

“Amen!” Mrs Peters and my mum chorused

“The good thing is we are one big family now,” Mrs. Peters chuckled and in spite of everything, they all laughed.
