"This is a big joke, it's funny." I said and laughed sarcastically. "So, doctor, what is this joke all about po?" I asked and he sits on the swivel chair while looking at me.
"Now, I knew why you are my daughter. Feisty" he said that instead of answering me.
"Dr. Antonio, I don't know what is happening. I don't know what are you doing. I don't know what for. But I don't like it. If this is a joke, then this a great joke po"
He looks the same, but there is something different in him. I don't know what it is, but something changed in him.
"You don't want a dad?" he asked and I rolled my eyes even if I knew it's disrespectful.
I asked him a question earlier and yet he don't have an answer yet. Then now, he will ask me a question, as if I didn't asked him first.
"I want to have a d-dad before. But I don't want it now" I seriously said, but I'm still not done talking. "And please, don't tell me po the same joke again. It's not that funny anymore" I said and turned my back at him.
Mommy La will surely scold me for disrespecting the adults.
Kailan ko siya ulit mabibisita?
"Who told you I am joking?" he asked while I am facing the door already, ready to leave this room. "And don't turn your back at me, young lady" he coldly added and I sighed so deeply. "What do you want? Since you don't want a dad now, right?"
"I want to go home" I said and looked at him.
"This is your home now" he said and looked at the whole room. I did the same. "Looks wonderful and so majestic, right?"
"This will never be my home" I answered and he sighed.
"Sadly, you don't have a say on that matter. This is your new home, no matter if you like it or not"
"What do you want from me?" I asked because if this is a big joke, then I will probably shout at him. I don't know what are they talking about. I don't know if I can trust them. I don't know if they're saying the truth or they just wanted to trick me or anything.
"I just need your cooperation" he said and I frowned.
"Cooperation on what?"
He stands up and walked towards me. He showed me a zip-lock plastic bag.
"What am I going to do with that?" asked and looked at him. He smiled at me. Even his smile is different or I am just imagining things this time.
Is this my imagination? Am I just imagining all of this?
"DNA Test" he said and that made me frown even more. I read that, but I can't remember it clearly. It's a science thing.
"What for, Dr. Antonio? Please po, just let me go home in our house" I pleaded and he shook his head at me.
"This is to test if you are really my daughter and if I am really your father. We have to test it" he explained and I looked at the bag.
"What will I get if I cooperate with you?" I asked, because as I said if this is a big joke, I don't know what I can do.
I probably don't need my father now, but joking about him is not right. It will never right.
"Then young lady, you will have a father if it turns out that I am really your father" he said, as if that's good news.
"And I just told you po, that I don't want it anymore" I said and he just shrugged. "So, maybe you can just let me go back to my hometown"
"That's not possible, especially that I am a hundred percent sure that you're my daughter" he said and crossed his arms over his chest.
