James had been bothered by what Edward had said that day. He wanted to know why he called him number 5. Did it mean something? He wasn't sure.
As he puffed along he heard screams of terror. He hurried to see what was going on. What he saw made his boiler go cold.
"Thomas..." He said softly.
Before him were the remains of Thomas. He couldn't believe it. 'How did this even happen!?' He thought to himself.
???'s POV:
They laughed maniacally. The plan was set in motion and the first victim was down.
"Oh poor Thomas.. He should've known better"
They laughed again before disappearing into the shadows.
*later that day*
James was backed into the shed for the night. He listened to the other engines talking about Thomas. He stayed quiet. He glanced around and noticed Edward wasn't there 'well that's strange. He's normally here by now' He was starting to wonder if he had something to do it with it. 'No he couldn't have done this. That's a silly thought'
James yawned. He slowly fell asleep.
