calling her a friend when you were talking with your 'gaming buddy' prank

"Oh, I see. I won't mind then. Have fun!"

"Thank you, my love." You took a quick look at her, blowing her a flying kiss. 

"Again, I apologize in advance if ever I would be loud." 

With that, you put your earphones back on. Through your peripheral vision, you could see Haewon picking up a set of comfortable clothes to change into.

Then, you started with your act.

"Hello? Hello? I'm really sorry. I lost my connection. It came back just now. I will try to catch up to you, guys." You opened your mic and spoke, chuckling nervously to be convincing enough for Haewon to believe that you were truly speaking to your teammates. 

Well, you were actually speaking to your teammates. The struggle is that you would have to convince Haewon that you were actually conversing with gamers. Currently, you are teamed up with Bae, Jiwoo, Lily and Sullyoon who were not that fond of Mobile Legends. As for Jiwoo, she wanted to make sure that you would be pulling off the prank. The other three just got involved into this, because they wanted to know how Haewon would react.

You started catching up with the gold. That is what kept you busy for most of the time. 

Occasionally, you would come to the aid of your teammates whose character's health was dropping rapidly. 

"Melissa, be careful. Thamuz is lurking near you. Hold on, I am coming up there!" You uttered. Melissa is one of the heroes in Mobile Legends, and that is how you would usually call out the character's name to its user's attention whenever the voice chat is open. The person who was using Melissa is Bae though. 

Haewon was now leaning against the headboard and reading a book when she heard you utter those words. She had no idea about the heroes' names. Her ears seemingly perked upon hearing the name: Melissa. She thought that the name of a female that you just uttered happened to be your gaming buddy. That is what you wanted to happen before you make your next move.

You subtly glanced at her and found that Haewon lowered her book. You nervously bit on your lower lip before you proceeded to whisper to your mic.

"Go on, Bae. Haewon is now looking towards me."

Then, you leaned back so suddenly which led the earphone jack to slightly come out and made the conversation to be audible for Haewon.

"Nice save, Y/N! Thank you..." Bae said in a flirtatious manner which made Haewon's lips quiver disbelievingly. She did not recognize that it was Bae because the latter purposely pitched her voice a bit higher. 

Haewon raised a brow upon hearing the way the person on the other line spoke to you, folding her arms across her chest.

"Doesn't she know about me, Y/N?" 

You were starting to feel nervous. 

"Who was that, Y/N?" Bae questioned, still using her pitched voice. 

"A... A friend of mine." You stammered, avoiding Haewon's gaze.

"Hold on, hold on — did you just refer to me simply as your friend, Y/N?" Haewon blurted out in disbelief. 

"No, no. It wasn't you whom I was referring to as a friend. I-I just got confused..." You stuttered and cleared your throat. 

"I couldn't be mistaken. She asked you about who I was, and you just responded with a friend of mine." Haewon set her book aside and made her way to you. You can feel her standing behind you. She placed her hands along the armrests of your computer chair and looked at you through your reflection on the monitor.

"Do you ever allow your friend to..." She paused, slowly leveling her head with yours while maintaining eye contact with you through your reflection.

"Kiss you like this?" With that, she ran her fingers through your strands, moved them swiftly to the other side, and took your earlobe between her lips. She began to tug onto it gently. 

You gasped and gripped onto your phone.

"Haewon..." You were about to reach for her head with one of your hands. But then, she quickly grabbed it with one of her hands which were once resting on the armrest.

"Nuh-uh, you are not allowed to touch me until you properly introduce me to your gaming buddy." She rasped, pinning your hand on the armrest.

"Actually, they are pretty much aware about who you are in my life, Haewon." You tried your best to say those words breathily. 

"Right, Bae, Jiwoo, Lily, and Sullyoon?" 

You saw how Haewon's eyes widened upon hearing those names. On the other hand, the three of them burst into laughter. 

"What's the meaning of this, Y/N?"

"I'm just messing with you, Haewon. I won't ever deny you to anyone. I just had to act as if I didn't want to introduce you to this gaming buddy, because I lost against Jiwoo and she dared me to pull this prank on you. I'm so sorry." You explained.

"We got her good." Jiwoo said from the other line in between her laughs. 

"Haewon is so aggressive." Lily commented.

"I had seen that one coming." Bae said proudly. 

"It's interesting to discover this side of Haewon." Sullyoon chuckled.

Haewon could just groan and cover her face, not knowing how she could face her members after all this. She could also perceive that the girls would tease her about this whenever they had the chance to do so. 

Deep inside though, she can feel the rush of relief upon learning that it was all a prank. 

"Ah, seriously... you did get me good there. I had to admit that."
