he wants to rage
to scream
to fight
anything
to bring her
back
but all
he can do
is exist
she was
his will
to live
and now?
they all say
"it's ok to grieve"
"don't block it out"
"give it time"
that word
again
time
"what did
time
ever do
for me"
he yells
time
is vicious
merciless
murderous
humanity's
incorporeal
antagonist
every day
he feels
her absence
like a ghost
with a hand
pressed to
his cheek
and a heart
that beats
in sync
every year
he visits
the damp earth
beneath which
she sleeps
he brings
a red
carnation
whispers
"i love you endlessly"
and sits
with her
in the rain
it looks like
young love
surpasses
even death
