Leaning back into my chair I crack my neck and prepare for quite a while in front of my computer.
Before I start on the coding I smell freshly popped corn wafting my way from the kitchen. Goddammit Juliet, you know I can't resist popcorn. Glancing back to my computer my eyes skim over the semi-empty page but I get up anyway, silently agreeing to continue it a little bit later.
As I walk into the kitchen, I see Juliet looming over a big bowl of popcorn.
"You got any extra?" I ask as I reach into the fridge for a beer.
"Do you really think I'll be able to eat this whole thing by myself?" She asks, rolling her eyes at me.
"I don't know. I've seen you do some crazy shit," I respond. She sighs and picks up the bowl.
"Would you like to join me for a Criminal Minds session?"
The thought of coding and my new job crosses my mind. But how long will that take? I ask myself. Not long enough to where I can pass up a few episodes of Criminal Minds. I decide.
"Sure!" I reply.
"Then grab me a beer, would ya?" Juliet asks as she makes her way over to the couch.
I nod and reopen the fridge to retrieve another beer, grabbing us both an extra in case we want to save ourselves a trip back to the fridge. I walk over to the couch and take a seat next to Juliet.
She already has a fluffy blanket on her lap, and she tosses it over my legs as well. She flicks on the TV, and we start the marathon.
