Chapter 23

Manik's pov

"Navya where is Nandini" I asked as we walked into the canteen at the end of the day after our recoding

"Must be in class, I had a free block" she replied

"Its 5, classes end at 4:30, where is she" I asked again

"Dude I dont know, maybe bathroom" she said and I texted nandini but it wasn't delivered

"Shit, why is she always getting into trouble" I mummbled

"Will you relax she isnt a child" mukti said

"She is a child" both cabir and I said at the same time

"Call her" he said

"I did she won't pick up" I said

"Take a breath she is probably around" cabir said

"No I dont feel good" I said getting up

"Manik" cabir said

"No I am being serious, I will be back im gonna go find her" I said walking out of the canteen

I went to her class but she wasn't there, I even checked the bathrooms all of them but she still wasn't there. I was starting to get scared now, and that sinking feeling was taking over my body

"Nandini where are you baby" I mummbled to myself and called her once again but it wasn't reachable

I started to think about where she could have gone, I know she didn't go home becasue the last text of hers said 'ill wait for you in the canteen' which she sent before her last class but I was in between my part of the recording so I didnt reply

The only place left to check in the whole college was the recoding room, fab 5's recording room but I dont see a reason why she would be there shittt did she maybe go there to see me but she knows I end recording at 4:45 and its way past that.

Seeing no other option I ran to the recording room and it was dark inside I could see it from the little window which is odd. I pushed the door but it didnt open, my eyes fell on the lock.

"Nandini" I yelled banging on the door to see if she is there

"Ma manik" I heard her barely audible whisper

I grabbed the first thing I saw which was a flower pot made of wood, I tried breaking the lock but it wasn't working

"Nandini ill be back baby, just breath okay" I said and I could hear her cries

I ran from there to the watchman who had a master key, I brought him back and on the way cabir ran to me too.

"What happened" he asked as I stood there watching the watchman open the lock

"I dont know but she is in there" I said freaking out

"She is okay, just calm down, one of you needs to be calm" he said and I took a few breaths and he pulled me in a hug

"She is okay, she is your little fighter right just breath, im gonna go home and grab some of her favourite things to make her happy ya" he siad and I nodded

"Can you get some balloons too please, all shapes you can find and every colour"

"Ya man, be safe okay" he said and I nodded

"Manik baba yeh lock college ka ni hai yeh todhna padega"

"Uncle please jaldi" I said and he took his bat and broke the lock within the next minute

"Thanks" I mummbled running in and turning the lights on

She was on the ground beside my chair, knees in holding her bag close to her chest, I could hear her sniffles. I made my way to her and caressed her hair
