(Wow! To be honest, I didn't think this story would take off! Thanks you guys for your support, commitment, and feedback!)

~Your POV~

I swung my diamond sword three times and finally killed the creeper. I picked up the gunpowder and put it in my little pouch full of it. I pulled my pick out of my black utility belt and began to mine.

I panted as I sat against the wall. I put my pick (which had the Unbreaking enchantment or whatever, I can't remember. :|) back in it's place and took an apple out. I rubbed it on my (F/C) shirt and looked up. I swear I saw something white flash by...

~Herobrine's POV~

Oh goodness. She nearly saw me. I-I couldn't help it. After I poisoned her the other night, I became quite protective of her. Those stunning (E/C) eyes, her soft (S/C) skin, her gorgeous (H/C) hair.... WHAT AM I SAYING?! I'm her guardian... her Hero. I smiled.

"Hello?" She called out. I took a deep breath and stepped out from behind her. "Ahem.."

(Y/N) jumped and fell onto the ground. "Ouch." I chuckled and held my hand out. "Sorry. I didn't mean to startle you." I said. She brushed off her jeans and looked up. "Tha- Herobrine?" I nodded. "That's my name, dearie." She blushed a little. "Why are you here anyways, 'Brine?" She bit into her apple. "I thought Notch banished you."

~No One's POV~

(Y/N) looked at Herobrine. "Hellloo?" She asked. Herobrine seemed to be in his own world. "Oh! Uh, sorry. You're right... Somewhat. Notch banished me, but after realizing that I had nowhere else to go, he had no choice but to allow me to stay." (Y/N) nodded. "Alright." She stood. "Why are you here?" "Well, considering the fact you almost died the other day..." He didn't bring up the fact that he was the one who almost killed her. (Y/N) smiled. "Oh. Thanks." A faint blush dusted her (s/c) (skin color) face.

Herobrine smiled. "You're welcome. I figured I'd come guard you in case of any stray mobs that stuck around." He pulled a diamond sword out.

(Y/N) blushed a little bit more. She had heard the tales of Herobrine, of course, but she'd never actually seen him. Now, he was protecting her? It didn't make sense to her, but she didn't mind. She felt safe knowing someone was watching over her while she mined.

~Later that day...~

(Y/N) smiled and put her pickaxe away. "Thank you, 'Brine." Herobrine smiled at his new nickname. "Don't mention it, (Y/N)." He snapped and he was gone.

(Y/N) smiled, and she didn't even wonder how he knew her name...
