You were there when it happened
It was rumors at first of a...monster in the bay...
It was laughed off by you and friends as...monsters didn't exist...right?
Godzilla would prove that theory incorrect...as it waded onto land and began terrorising the city
The military tried everything to halt the raging behemoth but it wasn't enough..
Other kaiju appeared shortly after...they all seemed to be gunning for godzilla, destroying all buildings in they're wake
In a show of dominance godzilla opened his jaws and began spewing a dark smoke that then became a huge plume of fire...engulfing the entire city below him into a sea of devastation and fire
The fire then condensed into a purple beam that he used to cleave buildings in half....and take down aircraft unlucky enough to be in the way...
You remember it so vividly...of course...it had been several months since then...
And everything has fallen into chaos...
People are surviving in the city but just barely...kaiju encounters are common thanks to godzilla
