"Pan's shadow? That's your way off the island?"

Once they all had returned from their ordeal in Echo Cave, they brought Neal back to the campsite, giving him a day's rest before asking him how exactly they could use the star map to escape Neverland. He told them he could get them off, and he could help them escape, but first he needed Pan's shadow to get anywhere near off the island.

"Unfortunately, it's the only way," Neal responded to Emma, who sat beside him on a log as David, Mary Margaret, and Y/n gathered around them.

"Oh, we thought you learned how to navigate the stars," David said as Hook rounded towards them, joining the conversation.

"I know how to navigate the stars. But I can't fly," Neal told him.

"And, that's where the shadow comes in?" Y/n questioned as she stood beside her mother, arms crossed as she looked down at Neal.

"That's why we have to capture it," Neal nodded.

"Capture it?" Emma exclaimed, looking at Neal in skepticism. "We've never been within ten feet of Pan unless he wanted us to be. Sneaking up on him to steal his shadow? That sounds insane."

"Except Pan's shadow is rarely with him," Hook stated. "It's an entity unto itself. It can carry out his will from miles away."

"What does that mean for us?" David asked.

"It means we can get his shadow without having to be anywhere near Pan. As long as we know where to look," Neal said, and looked at their wondering faces. "I know where to look."

"Okay. Then you, Y/n, and I are on shadow duty," Emma said, standing up and giving Y/n a nod, which she returned, however slightly. There was still tension there from when she revealed her secret jealousy and hatefulness of herself in Echo Cave.

"As am I," Hook suddenly said, approaching them when Y/n gave him a weird look. "This trek won't be easy. You could use another veteran of the island."

"Thanks, man," Neal said, and Hook gave him a nod as Emma checked over on Y/n, the woman giving her sister a headshake and a brush off to show she was fine with it.

"Well, in the meantime, we'll give Tinker Bell a heads up. See if she can make good on her promise to get us into Pan's camp," David said, and Mary Margaret visibly deflated. Y/n now knew that no matter who went with her, she'd be going to find Pan's shadow so she wouldn't be in the middle of her parent's domestic.

"Okay, we meet back at Tink's," Emma planned. "Then we get Henry and get the hell back to Storybrooke."

They broke the meeting and headed off to collect their belongings for the journey. Y/n prepped her sword, putting it back in her sheath before grabbing her canteen of water and preparing to head out. Before she could walk towards Emma, however, she looked over to see Mary Margaret struggling with her bag, and David trying to help her, only for Mary Margaret to brush him off and walk away. She walked over to Emma's side, to which Y/n joined her as Mary Margaret ignored that anything was wrong.

"How long are you gonna be doing this?" Y/n asked, looking at Mary Margaret, who feigned obliviousness to her own actions.

"This whole not-talking-to-each-other thing," Emma cleared up for her, and Mary Margaret merely opened her mouth to speak before closing it. "Don't you think it's been long enough?"

"He didn't tell you about the poison because he wanted to keep the focus on saving Henry," Y/n claimed, and Mary Margaret gave an almost uncatchable nod.

"Good to see you girls have inherited his tunnel vision," Mary Margaret said, very passive-aggressively.

"What does that mean?"
