The Buddy System. *Updating In Process*

Buddy Session

"Can I sit?" I asked smirking.

"I'd rather you didn't but I don't have a choice do I?"

"Of course you do," I smiled.

Draco leaned forward. "If you conjure a cushion I will hit you with it," he warned and pulled me down onto the sofa. "Hopefully this session goes better than the first one."

"I'm sure it will," I reassured him scooting closer. "For one, my life actually does feel pretty perfect these days."

"Did I ever apologise for being such a -"

"Pretentious prick?"

"Well I was going to say asshole but sure let's go with your thing."

"You did. But you don't have to. I was a little too sensitive."

"I was a dick!"

"I do love the progress the two of you have had during these sessions. Maybe not the language you both use but I will let it slide Mr Malfoy." Professor McGonagall said coming to stand at the back of the couch. "I am glad I put you both together. It was a last minute decision. I had to swap you out with others."

"You did?" I asked shocked.

She nodded.

"I am eternally grateful you did." Draco smiled looking at me.

"I thought you would be good for each other. I love it when I am right." She smiled as she walked on to another couple.

"And here was me thinking fate brought us together when really it was McGonagall." I chuckled.

"I still think fate had something to do with it." He took my hand in his and rested it on my leg.

"Have I told you I love you?"

"Not in the last few minutes." I smirked.

His face lit up. "I love you Raelyn Diggory."

"I love you Draco Malfoy."

"It won't be long to I can call you Raelyn Malfoy."

"We still haven't chosen a date you know."

"I told you already. I don't care what date it is so long as I get to finally call you my wife."

"Well I think I would like to get married soon. Why wait?"

"I agree completely." He purred.

"Good. And then we need to get jobs."

"So they say. It's the done thing after school finishes I hear."

"I need to have words with Kingsley about my plans for a school."

"And I will help in whatever way I can." Draco lifted my hand and kissed the inside of my wrist. Something he always did as he said it was more personal and no one else had ever done it. He wasn't wrong.

"I can't believe how grown up we all are. I mean, you and I are engaged so are Az and Theo. Harry and Ginny. We have just finished out last exams ever at Hogwarts. We are graduating. It's mental."

"Yeah. I always thought it would feel scary to finish school. But I am excited to start the rest of my life with you."

"Mr Malfoy, you are such a softie."

"Only with you. If you tell anyone I will deny it." I smirked at him. "You have the sexiest smirk," he whispered.

I just winked in response.

The hall was filled with quiet conversations. Looking around, I noticed everyone smiling as they chatted happily to their buddies.

Some were even sitting as close as Draco and I, leading me to realise they were probably together. Terry Boot and Sandra Hopkins sat practically on top of each other.
