My sister Tia and I are the only alicorns with flowing manes because of our age. See over time alicorns earn there manes with age. While I was on the moon my aging completely stopped so that's why my mane is much different from my sisters. If I wasn't banished I would have been the same height as her and out manes would have been similar.
