Unusual Proposal

Draco had enchanted music to play softly as we approached.

It was like a scene from a fairy tale.

"Ok. I will be over there with the camera. Remember you got this." I kissed her cheek hugged her and went to stand under the tree with Draco out of sight.

"It looks amazing," I smiled as I leant my head on his shoulder.

"It really does. You did good, love. Makes me regret our proposal. It wasn't romantic or well thought out like this."

I looked up at him. "Draco. The lights and the music aren't what make it romantic. We didn't need any of that. What you said to me. Your words. That was romantic. Our proposal was pretty perfect to me. I don't need the bells and whistles."

He pulled me into him. "Have I told you I love you?"

"Not in the last few minutes."

"Well then, Raelyn Diggory, I love you."

"I love you Draco Malfoy." He kissed my cheek as there was noise from the house.

A few shush's were called out amongst our party as Theo made his way towards us.

"Anyone home?" He called as he walked forwards, carefully. "Where the fuck is everyone? You send me out for ice cream and then you all disappear?"

He moved forward until he arrived at the gazebo.

"Az, there you are. Where the heck is everyone?" There was a mumble of response. I couldn't quite make out what she was saying from my hiding space.

"What's happening? Is she doing it?" Draco asked.

"If you be quiet I might be able to hear," I whispered to him.

"Theo, we have been through so much these last few years. The highest of highs and the lowest of lows. And yet we have come through it all, unscathed -"

"Speak for yourself," Theo smirked.

Azaleah glared at him. "Alright I'm sorry. Continue."

So she did. "You have been with me through everything. You were always in my corner. You walked me to and from class, let me practise the Cruitiatcus Curse on you. You tried to protect me during the battle. You fought for my trial and my appeal. You have been my rock."

Theo beamed.

"I have loved this time I have spent with you. I cannot imagine my life without you in it, right by my side. Where you belong. So I have something to ask you."

Azaleah smiled and got down on one knee producing a jewellery box.
She opened it revealing a man's ring. "Theodore Nott - will you marry me?"

"Are you serious right now?" Theo asked shocked.

"Um...yes...I am."

"No way."

"What?" Azaleah gasped. She looked heartbroken in that moment. Like her whole world had shattered around her.

"Oh no!" I whispered and took Dracos hand.

"It's ok. It gets better," Draco smirked.

Theo began to laugh and Azaleah looked like she might cry. But Theo then cleared his throat.

"Azaleah. I love you with my whole heart. You are my everything. We are so alike it is crazy. Like right now. You think it's the perfect time to propose to me?"

He looked down at her, smiling. It was very confusing as she nodded at him, clearly too distraught to speak.

I felt like I needed to protect Azaleah. I had this mad urge to shield her. Pansy obviously too as we both took a step forward. Draco chuckled and leaned in to me. "Easy tigers," he said holding us both back. "Just watch!"
