The Buddy System. *Updating In Process*

I felt a sudden heat. It started in my feet and began to rise. Up through my legs and my torso spreading through my fingers and arms. Up past my shoulders, neck, chin, moth, ears, nose, eyes. Right to the top of my head.

I heard a gasp and opened my eyes. My skin.

My skin was glowing.

"Merlin!" Theo exclaimed.

As the four finished the incantation the glow faded away and I was left sitting there feeling a little - weird.

"How do you feel Raelyn?" Draco asked dropping to his knees.

"Em..fine...I mean good...normal."

"Let's examine you," Nicola smiled as she and Zygmuno began to scan my whole body with their wands. Nicola turned the monitors around to face her and began pushing buttons.

No one spoke for the longest time. No one dared even breathe. Draco was still kneeling in front of me and didn't take his eyes off me. "I don't believe it!" Nicola exclaimed.

"What?" Blaise and Hermione squeaked.

"Is everything ok?" Narcissa asked.

"She is perfect!" Nicola smiled. "Heart rate, blood pressure are normal. Her breathing is stable. Her scans are all clear. It's like she was never sick. She is better than ok. She has a clean bill of health."

The words had barely even sunk in when Draco lifted me off the ground and spun me around as everyone cheered. I have no idea who I hugged or kissed but I seemed to be passed around everyone as they congratulated me and I thanked each and every one of them. It took a while.

Then I was passed back to the front of the room and into Draco's arms again as he called for silence and everyone settled down before he spoke.

"I cannot begin to thank everyone for what they have done for my fiancé. You all helped to save her life and bring her back to me and I will forever be grateful to each and every one of you."

"Thank you," I smiled at everyone. "I have no idea what I did to deserve such amazing people in my life but you are all family to me and I love you all. And Draco," I turned to face him. "You never gave up on me and helped me fight to the end. You looked after me and were always by my side when I needed you. I will forever be grateful and I will spend the rest of my life showing you how much I love you. I cannot wait to marry you and start our new lives together."

I leaned in and kissed him as he cupped my face.

"Now," I sniffed wiping a stray tear that had fallen. "I think we all deserve a little party to celebrate!" There was a round of cheers and applause as tables were conjured into the corner and food and drink was brought out.

Azaleah brought out the record player and charmed it to play a variety of all of our favourite songs.

We danced, sang, drank and ate to our hearts desire. It was a great evening. Azaleah proved that she truly could drink anyone under the table. I have no idea how she did it. Mr & Mrs Weasley showed everyone a dance routine from their day and soon had absolutely everyone on the makeshift dancefloor busting the moves.

We partied for hours until the early hours of the morning.

Draco was currently taking his mother for a turn around the floor as Andromeda approached me. "Well my girl, it's safe to say that your mother and Cedric would be unbelievably proud of you after what you have been through."

"You think so?" I asked.

"Absolutely. Although your mother was always proud of you. You may of had an asshole of a father who had no idea what to do with a daughter, but your mother loved you to the stars and back. You were her everything."

"I miss her," I sniffed.

Andromeda grabbed my shoulders. "Hey, she will always be watching over you. You are lucky. You have two guardian angels watching over you."

"Yeah you are right. I am sure her and Cedric are up there right now looking down at us with Ted, Nymphodora and Remus."

"Probably laughing at my bad dance moves." She laughed.

"I am glad I still have you though Andy," I said putting my head on her shoulder.

"You will always have me, my darling." She gave me a side hug and kissed me head.

The party guests began to dwindle down. First to leave where the the Hogwarts professors and the rest of the potion making crew. Then Nate, Laila, Wren, Nicola and Isabella. Then the Weasley's with Hermione and Harry. Then Kinsgley and his wife before Narcissa and Andromeda took Teddy home.

Then Aled and Meyer said their goodbyes as well. Leaving just the six of us.

"Well that was some party," Blaise hiccuped.

"I'll say," Azaleah laughed. "My boyfriend is currently passed out under that table and your girlfriend is passed out on top of it."

Blaise tiptoed over and kissed Pansys head. "She's cute when she's asleep."

Azaleah wasn't as delicate- she smacked Theo on the head.

"Wass happn-" Theo muttered.

"Bedtime you drunken oaf."

I giggled as Draco wrapped his arms around me. "Have fun my love?"

"I did. It was nice to let lose. And knowing I am healthy again is definitely a good thing."

"Mmm," Draco murmured and kissed me neck. "I seem to remember promising to lock us in our room when you recovered." He kissed my neck again.

"You promised me all kinds of kinky sex if I remember."

"Well," he kissed me. "A promise is a promise." He bent down and scooped me up, placing me over his shoulder.

"Ladies, gentlemen and Blaise...goodnight and good luck," Draco laughed.

"Slante," I laughed as Draco out of the room and off into the house."

"Use protection!" Blaise shouted.
