There is something that comes naturally to any fighter pilot, and that is your need for competition. Being competitive is just in your nature because in the air of your not competitive, if your not the best.
You don't come home.
Now is there such a thing as being too competitive? Sure there is. Like right now.
After a hard day of classes at Top Gun today some of the pilots decided to have a beach volleyball competition. Which leads to now.
Ava got out of Danny's car and the two approached the volleyball net where Maverick and Goose were playing against Iceman and Slider. All of them other than Goose were shirtless, showing off their sweaty muscular bodies.
"Damn." Ava said under her breath, catching the way Iceman's abs clinched as he hit the ball
"See something you like Chaos?" She heard Iceman ask from in middle of the game
"Maybe. Slider man, I didn't know you were so jacked." Ava teased making the RIO chuckle and flex his muscles causing Ava to whistle, ignoring the jealous look on a certain pilots face
"Sis your interrupting our game, me and Goose are about to kick their asses." Maverick smirked as Goose slung his arm around his shoulder
"Sure you were." Iceman rolled his eyes
"We'll just wait our turn. We play the winners." Danny said putting his arm around Ava's shoulder
"Alright. Let's go!" Maverick clapped his hands with a smile on his face
Iceman served the ball towards Maverick who managed to hit it over to Goose who hit it back to Maverick who then spiked the ball over the net. Iceman managed stop them from scoring and hit the ball to Slider who set the ball for Iceman to spike it over the net. Maverick dove and hit the ball to Goose who hit it back to Maverick who hit it over the net but it was once again stopped by Iceman who hit the ball back over the net.
"You are still good right?" Danny asked Ava as they watched Goose hit the ball to Maverick who then spiked the ball back over the net, Iceman dove but was unable to hit the ball in time meaning that Goose and Maverick got the first point.
"What kind of question is that? Of course I'm still good. You know I should be offended by that." Ava said crossing her arms and turning away from Ash
