Giyu walked through the forest near the Water Estate. He has been waiting for Kyojuro to come home from his mission. Shinobu dropped down beside him. She had taken to bullying him because of Kyojuro.
"So, Tomioka-san~ you have no Rengoku to protect you now, do you~" Giyu sighed. He turned to Shinobu. "Kocho go away." Shinobu huffed. "Your no fun Tomioka-san."
She ran off with one final, "No one likes you~!" Giyu walked to a clearing where he and Kyojuro practiced. He sat in the middle of the clearing, relaxing for once.
"CAW CAW! RENGOKU KYOJURO HAS BEEN KILLED BY UPPERMOON THREE!" Giyu froze. "I-it can't b-be..." Tears started to fall down his face. "Not another one... I can't do this anymore. I'm sorry nee-chan, Sabito, Kyojuro. I just can't... There's no point in life anymore. I'm coming."
He pulled out his katana, lifted it to his neck, closed his eyes and-
"CAW! TOMIOKA GIYU IS DEAD!"
Shinobu ran. Ran faster than ever before. The other hashira followed behind her. She reached the area where she last saw Giyu and saw his body not far off. She ran to him.
Tears rolled down her cheeks.
"No... It can't be..."
Mitsuri burst out crying. Muichiro teared up a little.
"I liked him. He was one I could actually remember."
"May his soul rest in peace."
"How unflamboyant."
"Kanjori please don't cry."
"The loner... He actually did it."
Tomioka! Why did you leave us!"
