Mikasa stood there, looking at the crowd trying to find a familiar face. She hated the crowd, but this is her two best friend's wedding, she couldn't miss it for the world. She promised Armin and Annie that she'll attend their wedding before going back to France, it's the least she could do after the two adjusted the date of their wedding so she could come.

She didn't expect this much guests in the reception however, just how much friends do they have? She picked up a glass of champagne, and made her way through the balcony of the villa. Looking back, she had no reasons to stay anymore. It's been decided, she will go back, but this time it's permanent.

A chuckle threatens to escape her lips, as tears started to form on her eyes.

"how can your eyes dark as night, have so much light in them"
She laughed, wiping the tears before it ruin her makeup, it's been a year, yet the voice in her head is as clear as glass. Why can't she just forget?

The memories are still so vivid, it's like it happened just yesterday. Oh that's right, they met at the same event, a wedding. A glass of champagne in her hand, and a cigarette in his. However this time, it's only her. Because this time another girl is in between his arms.

Mikasa chug the champage on her hand, and carefully put the glass down. She couldn't stay here any longer, she knows that. She was too late unfortunately, she could hear familiar voices inside, she knows all too well the sound of his voice and slowly it's all coming back to her.

"Eren and Historia! Im glad you made it!" Armin's voice rang throughout the room, the cheering and talking kept resonating around them.

She watched them, for the last time hopefully, they look so happy, they deserve it, Mikasa knows this. She took one last glance and left, she's not coming back anymore, Eren knows this as he watch her leave and walk out, just like how she walked out when he proposed to her.
