After all the excitement it was hard for Jackie to go to sleep but she managed just as well to go to sleep. The next morning Ryan was there with a fresh set of clothes and in a very good mood.
“Can I get my stuff please?” Jackie asked smiling.
“Ryan placed it on the bed and helped Jackie out so she could go to the restroom. Once she was done she ran out of the bathroom with Ryan and into their car. He got their things from the cottage and got Kevin to drive his car to the hospital. They drove home to see Mr. Burns and Dan sitting on the couch.
“Good morning,” Jackie said smiling.
“How are you?” Dan asked.
“Terrific,” Jackie said.
“Yeah, we have something to tell you,” Ryan said smiling.
“What would that be?” Mr. Burns asked pouring himself some coffee.
“Well, Jackie has agreed on becoming my wife,” Ryan said smiling with great joy.
“That’s it, that’s the big news?” Dan asked.
“That isn’t big enough for you?” Jackie asked.
“We knew it was gonna happen already,” Mr. Burns said sitting down on the couch.
“Well thank you for ruining my surprise,” Ryan said pouting and sitting in the chair.
“Well Ryan can we talk?”
“Sure,” Ryan said walking to the back with Jackie.
“Now what’s important?” Ryan asked sitting on the bed.
“The wedding, how do you want it to be?” Jackie asked standing by the door.
“Oh,” Ryan said shocked by her question, “Jackie I only have two conditions; don’t worry about a budget, and for you to have a calm free time doing it.”
“Alright I want the theme to be green is what I know so far,” Jackie said going to lie on the bed.
“Well that’s easy enough,” Ryan said rubbing Jackie’s stomach.
“No.”
“What?”
“No. I know what you’re gonna say, and the answer is no.”
“Fine,” Ryan said placing his stomach onto her belly.
“Speaking of mother’s,” Jackie started, “I need to call my mother.” Jackie went over to the dresser and called her mom.
“Hey Jackie, what’s up?” her mom asked.
“Well I have good news,” Jackie said. “You may want to sit down first.”
“Okay I’m sitting, what’s the big news?”
“I’m getting married….to Ryan,” Jackie said happily into the phone and prancing up and down.
“Ah!” Jackie’s mom said yelling in the phone. “Baby, I’m so happy for you, I’ll take the first flight over with your father.”
“Stepfather,” Jackie said sitting down on the bed.
“Look I’ll call you back,” Jackie’s mom said.
“Alright, bye,” Jackie said ending the call.
“Ugh, why does that European ass-wipe have to come to my wedding?” Jackie asked annoyed. Jackie’s relationship with her stepparents was not going well because of her reluctance to accept them, especially her stepfather because of his persistence in annoying Jackie.
