"BECAUSE YOU FEEL GUILTY FOR HIS DEATH!" Levi continued, laughing loudly with the intention to mock not paying attention to the other man's face

Erwin was still quiet

"You know what Erwin? Maybe it was your fault. And you feel remorse, don't you? Oh, but you're a big boy. You're gonna focus that energy into something else?"

Erwin lunged forward at Levi, who was preparing for a punch in the stomach.
Erwin instead grabbed the man's face, pulling him in close.
Levi was so startled that he didnt have a chance to process the event taking place.

"Levi. I know you're only saying this to hurt me. You're hurt and you're trying to hurt me in order to feel relived, aren't you?" Levi said nothing in response, simply staring into his eyes

"Levi. Talk to me. We can work this out."

The only words that escaped Levi's mouth were "Why should I?" he half whispered into the other man's ear

"Because...." Erwin thought
"Because you have made a factual mistake and as commander I cannot let that slide."

"The hell are you talking about"

"You stated that you are nothing but a mere slave, correct?"

"We're not in court Erwin get to the point."

"That's just untrue Levi. The context in which I said those words was made quite clear. I only did that to clear you of guilt. I never thought about you as anything less than my equal."

"Then what about the Ackerbond."
Levi whispered

"Acker...bond? As in Ackerman?"

"Every Ackerman was bound to a significant person of some sorts. We're slaves to them. That's what we were made to do. Mikasa's got her shitty brat, my uncle Kenny was a liege to some dude named Uri and I've got you."

"Levi, there's no way that theory is real. It's nothing but a theory. It's just ridiculous, I mean come on." Erwin scoffed

"Erwin. I experience chest pains whenever you are visibly upset. I get a fluttering sensation in my stomach whenever you are around and I feel a strong need to protect you and take care of you." Levi said seriously

"Levi, by any chance, have you ever been in love with someone?" Erwin was taken aback by the man's bold claims

"Love? What am I, some boy-crazy schoolgirl?" Levi gawked

"Levi. Was...your uncle Kenny", he stopped, "was he in love with that uhm...Uri? Did he ever show signs of love?"

"I guess he did blush plenty around that bastard but he was always red in the face. I think he had liver failure from drinking so much." Levi thought

"Did he ever...mention any sort of liking to this fellow?"

"God, this feels like a police interrogation. Kenny always worshipped the ground Uri walked on, it's common for the Ackerbond."

"Levi, are you that dense? Your uncle was clearly in love! Mikasa is in love with Jeager, it's been obvious to everyone except Jeager himself. I think you're in love."

"Me in love? What the fuck has gotten into yo-"

Erwin reached out a hand and grabbed Levi's waist. He pulled him in, gripping tightly as if Levi was going to fly away. He smashed Levi's lips onto his, pulling away only to catch his breath.

He muttered "Consider the possibility." Turning around and just as he was about to walk through the door, Levi grabbed him by the shirt, forcing him down and kissing him again.
